I went for my first treatment yesterday. I was so nervous I couldn't eat! It took about 2 mins to complete. I asked the tech to stop after the first 10 seconds because it hurt, and again after 10 more seconds... but after that I powered through... it's not the worse pain in the world. Now it's 24 hours after my first treatment. Not in a lot of pain. One tiny blister forming... but over all skin is in good condition.

Feeling slightly pessimistic
Shauna613January 29, 2015
I know iv'e only had one treatment and yes it's only been a week... but I'm bummed there isn't more of a change. I know it's a long process... but I just want this thing off me. I look in the mirror, then I look at the tattoo... it does not belong on me...
My skin is in great condition. The small blistering is gone. It was itchy for a couple days, but keeping it moisturized definitely helps. Drinking lots of water, working out, eating right, and tryyying to sleep more.

I just want you to know that it's normal to be unsure and get a little fed up with this process. Everyone here has been a little pessimistic, anxious, depressed, or fed up at some point, and some people constantly are. (me lol) I know it's disheartening to see some people's tattoos fading after one session within 48 hours, some people are so lucky! But with all the research I have done I am really sure that you WILL see some results. Maybe not right away, but if you stick with it and keep your skin healthy, lightening of the tattoo SHOULD occur. I would be surprised if it didn't. - - If it makes you feel any better my first session is coming up and I will be posting an update about it. Basically we are going through this together. :) Feel free to message me if you need to talk more. I could talk all day!

Hey! Thanks for the kind words!! I have 3 small spots where I have actually had some line breakage... yay small victories!
It kinda of annoys me when I show someone my tattoo and they are like "wow it looks the same" or "I thought there would be more change than that". I feel set back, even if I was just excited about some minimal line breakage. I explain to them that it is a long process... but then the seed of doubt gets watered in my head. Truly I feel optimistic about this process, but just like a lot of people say... it is a roller coaster.

Yeah, I'm not surprised people say that to you, and I am sure they will to me too, and I'm 100% sure that I will feel a tiny bit discouraged too. Just like how they say how they think my tattoo is pretty, or it can be fixed. They. just. don't. get. it. And they won't get it, unless they have gone through the same thing as us. Anyway, through the research we have done, we know that any progress on the first few sessions is GREAT. It means something is working! Just gotta keep on keeping on right?

I have some more line breakage! I look at it several times a day (my boyfriend teases me) I go for my second session tomorrow! So pumped! It is such a great feeling to see progress... even if it is a few lines breaking! I will update tomorrow! I hope your session went well!

I am sorry, I'm just seeing you comment now!
I think you need to wait 6 months before you start laser on fresh ink. It's definitely not a fun feeling to have an unwanted tattoo. This site is great, I recommend that you start an update and ask some questions. You will probably receive responses from people who are much more knowledgeable on the subject than I. I have only gone for 2 session.
Welcome to the community, great to hear that you are already seeing results. Look forward to your updates to hear more about your progress.
