I had a chin implant and submentle liposuction done at the Facial Surgery and Cosmetic Centre of Ottawa at the Riverside Hospital approximately six months ago. My surgery was performed by Dr. James Bonaparte. I’m late writing this review but I thought it was important to let others know about my experience. First of all, I was attracted to Dr. Bonaparte’s attitude to this surgery. He didn’t try to upsell his services like some doctors did in other clinics that I visited for consultations. Second, Dr. Bonaparte was very honest and humble and made me feel very safe and comfortable in his care. Third, he was very knowledgeable and gave me an in-depth explanation of what the surgery would entail, the recovery period, and what I could expect afterwards. He was very realistic about the results and he answered all my questions to my complete satisfaction. During the initial consultation, I didn’t feel rushed or pressured. As a client of this clinic for other services prior to this consultation, it was natural for me to drawn to this particular clinic because I had always been totally satisfied with their services. With that said, this was the first time I had ever considered plastic surgery, so I was very nervous about “going under the knife”, but Dr. Bonaparte had my total confidence and definitely made the decision easier for me. Once I decided that he was the one, I was nervous, but on the day of the surgery he made me feel very comfortable with his professional bedside manner. When I went back for my post-op visit he wanted to be totally sure that I was satisfied, which I was. It was nice to feel that he genuinely cared about my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this doctor and this clinic if you are considering facial or cosmetic surgery. Fast forward almost six months, the outcome is exactly what I hoped for. Thank you so much to Dr. Bonaparte and his staff for taking great care of me.
