My Mom Was Right. You'll Regret It - Oslo

$8,000
So I was in a depressed state of mind in March. I have a bunch of tattoos and I thought that a new one might cheer me up. Instead of getting anyone of some tattoos I had had in mind for a while I went with an idea I came up with on a sleepless night. The day after I visited my tattoo parlor and got an appointment scheduled one week later. I was alright with it at first, thought all the time that it would look better with some color. And man, after I got some color it really hit me hard. I can't believe I spent that amount of money on this tattoo. Placement is really weird. It's to close to my other tattoo. Way to dark. He did the whole piece in the same colors so it only looks like a big mess. And now what?

My depression has gotten so much worse. I refused to go shirtless for the whole summer. I actually think I've developed some sort of PSTD from the experience, as I think of it all the time throughout the day. Completely lost my self esteem and self respect.

So now I have a choice. I got this new appointment at one of the best artists I've ever seen, she's amazing. And I'm thinking of getting a tattoo covering the rest of my stomach. A moon around and over my belly, and a wolfs head on the other side of the stomach.
Or, I schedule an appointment at a nearby clinic that uses picosure.

It's just that it's so big. It feels like it gonna take ages and so many treatments and I'm not really sure they can remove it completely. So then I'm gonna need a cover up anyhow.
I feel hopeless.

What do u guys think?

It's the owl I wanna remove.

My honest opinion? the owl is QUALITY WORK. I would much rather cover up or remove the piece you think is too close to it. But rather i would proably just keep both, because they are both pretty good, the owl is the best in my opinion though. But its only you that knows whats right for you, do whatever you need to do to be happy :)
Sorry to hear you are feeling so hopeless right now, that will pass. Tattoo regret is a struggle but you have options, and clearly you are not ruling out a cover up so you will be fine. I am working on a cover up right now and trust me, my tattoo was way darker than yours is. I personally agree with Great Dane, the owl is nice, but it has to be a fit for you. Give it some time, don't rush it is always the best thing. Here is some information you may find helpful.

Eva , why can't I see the photos of this work and it seems others can ?

Hi Niccola, users are premitted to delete photos. I can't see them either...so that is why.

Thanks Eva, Now I understand. I appreciate you taking the time to explain . Thank you .

No problem :)

Hey, check out the reviews of Picosure on this website. There are pre and post treatment pictures and they look promising. You should look more into getting it removed if it bother you so much. Removing a tattoo that is on top of another is way harder. Good luck
I agree with other posts that the owl is really good. I think it's lovely. It's the accordian? treasure chest? above it that seems out of place. It's of course your body and skin, you should do what will make you happy. I'm having a very small tattoo removed with picosure and it's a really slow and very expensive process. A few treatments might fade it enough that a cover up would be easier if you go that route. If you're already having trouble accepting one tattoo, I don't think I would get another large torso piece so soon. Give it some time. If cost is not an issue and you're willing to wait, you can get it completely removed. I don't think there's any doubt about that. Good luck and try to stay positive. Your ink is much nicer than most, I don't think anyone is going to judge you for going shirtless in the heat.
