Jaw Surgery Was Worst Mistake of my Life
I had double jaw surgery 2 years ago to advance my moderately retrognathic jaws in the hope that it would fix the issue with my appearance that I could not live with as it is not the 'real me'. After the operation I am finding that I am really unhappy with the result, it did not improve my appearance in the way I imagined despite having what I felt were realistic expectations but instead it is a complete joke. I just look slightly different but not really that much better. It hasn't given me the prominent lower face that i hoped for and I still have this same overall look about me which i despised. I feel I may have misattributed the problem with my appearance to my jaws. Now i feel worse for going through such a gruesome procedure and not having my natural face anymore plus permanent pain and discomfort. Surgeon is deflecting by insinuating the problem is with my mind just to add insult to injury but this is completely an arbitrary statement and displays a lack of sensibility for aesthetics. I just wish I could go back and never have it done, this is a nightmare.
