Ehhhh
The fact is, my underlying deformity from botched surgery is fixed. I am happy about that. My plastic surgery journey ends here.
Unfortunately, so far, I’m disappointed about the size of the implant. There is no wow factor at all. I’m gut told me the implant was too Small. I even paid for an extra design session to increase the size. I was hoping for a sharp beautiful jawline but that’s not what I got. Most of the swelling has resolved and so I can’t imagine my result will be much better than it is.
this Doctor’s idea of the size of the implant has a lot to do with gender and not the size of the person. since I am 5’8 and 165 pounds, I am the size of a lot of a small man.
I agree that the shape of the implant should be more gender specific but I don’t agree the size should be gender specific at all.
Additionally, I don’t know how to clearly explain this but to keep the implant anatomically correct with my bone structure they made one size larger… well you can definitely tell. the larger side is much more defined than the smaller side. I would’ve much rather been anatomically Incorrect and have both sides the same size for the sake of having a stronger jawline! Just saying… ohhhh well maybe in 3 more months the swelling will recede so much that I’ll take back everything I said in this update.

swelling gets worse before better
I look like a frog. waiting for the swelling to go away and to finally see my results is the most difficult part. It’s emotional & tough. I hope to look “normal” again in at least 3 months.
The doctor gave me steroids & Arnica/Bromaline and I’m taking Tumeric. whatever it takes to make the swelling go away faster.

Day 1 - Post Op appointment
Eppley’s Office
The doctor has seen me twice since surgery. I appreciate that. Also I thought it was interesting he doesn’t recommend postoperative lymphatic massages. He said maybe few weeks out it’ll may be okay if I really want to.
