Ehhhh
MissABC123July 22, 2021
The fact is, my underlying deformity from botched surgery is fixed. I am happy about that. My plastic surgery journey ends here.
Unfortunately, so far, I’m disappointed about the size of the implant. There is no wow factor at all. I’m gut told me the implant was too Small. I even paid for an extra design session to increase the size. I was hoping for a sharp beautiful jawline but that’s not what I got. Most of the swelling has resolved and so I can’t imagine my result will be much better than it is.
this Doctor’s idea of the size of the implant has a lot to do with gender and not the size of the person. since I am 5’8 and 165 pounds, I am the size of a lot of a small man.
I agree that the shape of the implant should be more gender specific but I don’t agree the size should be gender specific at all.
Additionally, I don’t know how to clearly explain this but to keep the implant anatomically correct with my bone structure they made one size larger… well you can definitely tell. the larger side is much more defined than the smaller side. I would’ve much rather been anatomically Incorrect and have both sides the same size for the sake of having a stronger jawline! Just saying… ohhhh well maybe in 3 more months the swelling will recede so much that I’ll take back everything I said in this update.

In your post you said the first design was off 12cc and last was under 10. And you said that was perfect? Why did you make it smaller?

The doctor suggested we go smaller because he said the implant was too large. He said usually only men get this size of an implant

Hey! Sorry to ask on a separate post, but this one seems more active. Can you share if you were happy or not with your mini/ponytail lift here? https://www.realself.com/review/georgia-cheek-lift-ponytail-lift
I really like the fact that the incisions are ABOVE the ear, and not in / near the tragus, which makes so many facelifts look weird. It seems like it would heal easier/better? But do you think that the end result was worth it? It looked pretty great in your last photo, but would you mind sharing a quick update? Would you recommend this type of surgery, or have any suggestions to anybody considering it and that doctor (Dr. Whiteman)? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANY INSIGHTS!! II wish you all of the best :) :) :)

swelling gets worse before better

I look like a frog. waiting for the swelling to go away and to finally see my results is the most difficult part. It’s emotional & tough. I hope to look “normal” again in at least 3 months.
The doctor gave me steroids & Arnica/Bromaline and I’m taking Tumeric. whatever it takes to make the swelling go away faster.

The doctor has seen me twice since surgery. I appreciate that. Also I thought it was interesting he doesn’t recommend postoperative lymphatic massages. He said maybe few weeks out it’ll may be okay if I really want to.

So far, the size is too small & way too conservative. There’s no noticeable improvement to show.
