Me NOW- Braces OFF

WORTH IT$18,000
On Feb 6th my braces came off and I couldn't be happier. I just hit my one year mark on Feb 1 since I had my full face made over. I do not regret for a second of it. I must admit there were times when it was a challenger to accept a new identity, and its not that I didn't like it, I did. I just felt like I don't know who that person is and how I must react to peoples comments, etc. It took time getting used to. My feeling has come back to my face but some areas are slightly tingling, I have regained most of my face expressions but I still feel that I am healing. I'm sure that in the next 3-4 months I will have fully recovered. So happy!.

Absolutely beautiful! It is weird getting adjusted to the person looking back at you in the mirror. Im 3 years post and still stare at myself wondering who that is sometimes. I wish my face turned out as beautiful as yours but I def have no complaints on my surgery either ;)

Yes, I am still adjusting to the new look. Its so weird because when I look back at my old pics, I can't say I recognize the old me, but when I look at myself now, I still don't feel like I'm me. Its so hard to explain, but I feel like I'm somewhere lost in the middle lol. Almost feels like I'm stuck in someone else identity. Most of my family is already used to it, they don't remember what I looked like unless they look at my old pics.

You look absolutely beautiful. The Good Lord sent you to the right doctor. Too many doctors will offer a "fast fix" and not determine all contributing factors. Your doctor was apparently both thoughtful and thorough regarding your care, post operative outcomes and future issues. You seem like a lovely person. Have a wonderful and fulfilling life! God bless!

Thank you so much! Yes I was definitely blessed with my Doctor. He really took his time to plan the surgery and make sure everything is proportionate and lines up but very natural looking. Even my orthodontist said he had never seen work like this, for someone to have so much work done but look so natural.

Wow, stunning result! You are very beautiful! I am so looking forward to have surgery myself. I have not even started on braces yet. Fingers crossed!

I believe a surgery like mine with all the cosmetics is $20K in Russia (double jaw, rhinoplasty, fat transfer, chin extension, cheek augmentation). I think I just got a deal because they did so much in one time, once I'm cut open it's easier for them to do it all at once instead of having to go under the knife multiple times. In the states it would have cost me at least double not including hospital stay.

Swelling was going down quickly up until 9 months and then really slowed down. I had about 80% of my feeling back but was still in braces and soft diet.

hi! for howlong did you have to wear braces? and how much did this whole process of braces amd then surgery take?

Hello I was in braces for 3 years total. About 20-23 months in braces before surgery and one year after surgery. I have to say, braces was the worst part out of this whole process.

With the splint still in your mouth it is difficult to even fit a baby spoon, deff recommended the squeeze bottles

Wow! The doctor did a great job. Your face shape and facial proportions are now perfect! What was the fat transfer used for? Did the same doctor who did your jaw/chin surgery also do your rhinoplasty?

He had his team with him and a female surgeon (Dr Gilova) took control when it came to Rhinoplasty. My whole surgery was 12 hours and I was told my nose took 5 hours of that. I cant imagine having to operate for that long on your own. Hovered over and having to pay attention to detail and not cut through a nerve etc, I'm glad he had his team. :))

Thank you for the details.
I think you looked very cute before, but you are perfect now.

Thank you :) the fat was used to inject under my eyes, to fill my chin dimple (i wanted it to be less dramatic). Basically they used my fat (took from my thighs) and used it as fillers on my face to reduce wrinkles :)) usually about 50% of the fat that is injected dissolves within 3-5 months and the rest stays more permanently. The fat transfer was for cosmetic reasons i didn't need it i just wanted it. :) Dr. Gilova did my nose :))

You look incredible! Your doctors did an amazing job, truly. My weak dimpled chin needs the same. Did you have braces or anything prior? Love the fat transfer idea, too! I feel like a kindergartener because I'm definitely copying you; just need to save $20k! Please keep us updated. G'luck!

thank you :) yes I have been in braces for two years now. They are suppose to come off in the fall. I would say the braces were more painful than recovery lol and deff more annoying.

The fat transfer was used as fillers but more permanent. I was started to get wrinkles under my eyes, around my mouth etc. So they used my fat to fill them. About 50% of fat dissolves 3-4 months after transfer but the rest stays as a filler. They also used my fat to fill in the dimple so its not so dramatic. I'll post a new picture today since it will almost be 5 months. Swelling keeps going down. They also took some fat from my cheeks to give me defined cheeks and that that curve, it's not showing as much yet because I'm still swollen. I had a female surgeon do most of the rhinoplasty, because it was a difficult case and it took 5 hours for just rhinoplasty. But Dr. Antipov was there overseeing it I believe. It was all done at once.

Looking great! What kind of cheek augmentation did you get, aside from fat? Cheek implants?
User Avatar

I think they are grafted. I don't have any silicone or implants in my face. Just titanium and bone graft.
January 8, 2022
Hello I was just wondering what you ment by bone graft.... Does this go on your chin to help lengthen it?
September 27, 2017
Very impressive. How did you find the doctor?

He's a local surgeon where I live and has been highly recommended by a lot of people. Then I found out I can have this done in Russia because I was struggling with my insurance. I got really blessed to have found him.
