I am 32 yrs old with 2 kids (5 & 9). I am 5'11 and weigh 195lbs. I have been thinking about doing this for a year now. I had a C- section with both, which has caused havoc on my skin and stomach muscles. I am very fortunate to own my own business and have the flexibility to take time off work. I am scheduled for November 18th. Really nervous about recovery, but also very excited to see the results !

Had my pre op appt. on Wednesday. Dr. A and staff answered all my questions, although now more have come up. My Dr. doesn't use tape, but panty liners and pads instead. Anyone else do this? He said tape can cause rashes near incision. Also I had planned to continue my Slim Fast diet up to the day before and continue after surgery. Apparently Slim Fast has too much Vitamin E in it and can not be taken the week prior or after surgery. Does anyone have any suggestions for a similar diet drink that is ok?

possibly a protein drink, not sure how much vitamin E they have in them, actually I didn't have much of appetite after the surgery and ate light anyway, fruits, yogurt, things like that, you are taller therefore seem to have longer torso and my guess is your results will be wonderful, hang in there, listen to your doc not what other people do as every doc does things a different way, trust in your doc and you will get thru this, best of luck keep us posted

I had my one week post op appointment today. Doctor removed most of the stitches and my one drain. That was interesting! Some of the stitches were stubborn, which doc said they would eventually spit out? Stitches are dissolvable anyway but he is picky about scarring so he likes to take them out after one week? Pretty happy so far. Pain has been very manageable for the entire week, although first 2 days are a blur :). Apparently I told my husband that I thought the doctor took too much skin away in my medical haze, lol. I am still not standing fully up right, but definitely don't want to push that too soon. Hopefully I will post pics in next day or so. Happy healing everyone.

I was told I said some strange things after my surgery and was kind of in a haze for 3 days or so and don't remember things from the 1st couple days, not sure how some people are up doing what they say they are doing a day or so after surgery and a few I have seen do this have had problems, glad all is going well for you , good luck and happy thanksgiving
