SlimSlip - I see the hard lumps that you were worried about and I can totally understand. I really don't have any lumps, but it still swells across the mid-section and above belly button. I saw the PS today and he is quite happy with my progress - the weight loss from the surgery (1 liter) and then the additional pounds lost. I discussed with him the fact that I had 1 velashape appointment left and he said to have that in 4 weeks and see him on the 5 week (that will be week 16 - 4 months) and that we would go from there. He said we might want to make some slight revisions, but I can tell you now - no more plastic surgery. I am in size 8/10 depending on maker and everyone is calling me slim - I am in clothes that I have not worn in years - so happy. I know that in 4 weeks I'll be ecstatic with my end results. Will post 12 week pictures Wednesday. Hang in there - it looks like you still have quite a bit of swelling going on!!!

As a husband, I know you ladies are doing this for us too (they also should know). They (ur Hubbies) should be more compassion and understanding. I know my wife is thinking about it every day. I try to be supportive and understanding, because it is really about the both of us. I too will benefit from her good looks, mentally and physically. Hang in there girl.

Aweee Thanks Cafejose... it is so great that you can relate.. and most of all be and stay understanding. Remember, us girls, we have to embrace ourselves with courage to face the procedure and recovery and the least we need is a nagging husband. Instead, we want to be able to feel your (hubbies) support. I remember the morning my hubby was driving me to the procedure he kept quite, but I could tell what was going on in his mind.. and I would say that this procedure didnt come out as I expected cause of two things: age and fear going into the procedure.. So, Im so glad you shared your thoughts. Thanks much!! and LOL about WTF? :-)

I, too, have an area around my belly button which developed into scar tissue. I have been doing power walking with a 5 pound core ball, "Slim in Six" ab work out, the contour belt and massaging the hell out of this area - the scar tissue has diminished 80 percent, but it is a work in progress. I had a revision done 3 weeks ago - I paid almost $6000 - $4800 for the initial procedure, $425 for velashape which was a waste of money (pushed by my PS) and another $650 for revision plus CG garment and all the drugs - I now have fat over the right side of my pubic area and he will correct it for free - I am taking my husband in and making him tell him all that I have done. Down 13 pounds - 148 initially (5'6' and big boned) and working my butt off on just the abdomen area - no other areas done - menopause stomach. I wish you the best of luck - the belly button is a hard area to correct, but I will do it. I still swell like when I don't wear spanx after 8 months counting revision - when will this stop. I eat correctly and avoid salt - makes me sick - it should have been done right the first time!!!
Some people take longer to heal than others, so don't give up yet. It can take six months.
