After a lot of research and thinking about my options I decided to have the PRP/Acell hair treatment performed. Im in my early 30's been thinning for probably 10 years now. I've been taking saw palmetto/multivitamin's along with topical procerin & emu oil for about 5 years. I think this regimen has slowed my hair loss down, but isn't stopping it. I refuse to take minoxidil or propecia due to the possible side effects.
First time having this procedure and I'm very optimistic to see how much improvement I get. I'll post follow pics every couple months.

Please post an update!

I live near Orlando. Would you share what the cost was and how many treatments you have had. Thank you.

It cost $1500 for the Acell/PRP treatment. If I would have only done PRP it would have been $1000. I've only had one treatment so far.

Please give us an update. I am considering this procedure and would love your advice. Thank you!

I'm posting monthly pictures of my progress. So far not a lot of growth but my hair looks and feels a bit thicker. I've noticed a few hairs growing where my hairline was receding. My wife tells me that she can really tell a difference in how it looks and feels as well. From what I've read it seems the consensus is that you usually start to see real results at about the 3-4 month mark. So I'm remaining optimistic and I will post new pictures as the months go by. This is all from just one treatment I had at the end of November, plus my usual regimen.

Nice, thanks for updating! Are you considering more treatments?
March 4, 2017
I would get more treatments if it was more affordable to do so. I'm going to see what kind of results I get out of a single treatment with Acell.

I'm amazed on price differences for this PRP+ACell treatment.
You paid $1,500 and I see other doctors charging even $5,000 in NY.

I wonder what is and why the BIG price difference.....

In MX, you may be paying for only PRP, not including Acell?

Hi,

I would like to ask you if you would recommend Procerin. I read your post and looked at their website, but it's hard to tell if it is safe/legitimate/effective and so on. What did you think of it? I have thinning hair my doctor says is due to typical MPB even though I'm only in my late 20s. I started Finasteride even though I was scared of side effects but from all the doctors and surgeons I've spoken with, there's no reason to worry. I spoke with other patients who have been on Finasteride for years and they never had a problem...so...looks like it's fine. Anyway, please let me know your thoughts on what you had been using. Thanks so much!!

I looked into PRP... Doctor I talked to seem to think it doesn't grow hair where there is none... and was pushing transplants... he was about 45 and balding... I asked him some other questions.. but he didn't seem to know much and we parted ways...
I believe the problem of men's hair thinning as opposed to women's hair growing and growing can give us clues..
Also I don't believe medical science/FDA
will ever allow a cure because of restrictions..
I am jumping around so let me state
I have a protocol to make my hair thick..
One can never be too thin... have too much money or have too much hair...
So if your really interested in getting your hair back naturally, and I have read hundreds of protocols... All I have read are on right track, but will not solve problem because no doctor is going to risk his license to think outside the box to
try different treatments just to grow hair...
So I see you say you won't use minoxidil
but you and 99% of people with thinning hair don't know minoxidil sulfate is what grows hair... I'll leave it at that you can research it..
Saw Palmetto is a plus... but for growing hair...Try Saw Palmetto oil is much better..
Ofcourse Nizoral is plus
Scalp massage... Try Brookstone
I mentioned women... hormones..
Progesterone creams are plus etc
HGH is what your lacking that you had as a young man...hint.. hint
Also I beginning to feel you may not think you have it but psoriasis is fungus.. I
Alopecia Aerta was cured with anti fungal medication... look it up..
And that is why I believe this will not be cured anytime soon.. The answers are in clinical studies... But no one has put it all together

Hi! You mentioned that your Alopecia Areata was cured with anti fungal medication. For the past 3 years I have been dealing with Alopecia Areata on the sides of my head and body. What anti fungal medication did you use?
