Waiting for surgery day
Hey,
I'm going with my second doctor. We agreed on a extra large mandibular glove by implantech. It protrudes forward 1.2 cm.
I went to my preop last week. They gave me more information about saftey, dos and don'ts, and my prescriptions for pain and recovery.
All I can do now is wait until Jan 8th. The only thing I'm worrying about is the result looking unnatural--too large. I will be happy if my chin just broke a 90 degree angle. I just the doctor though. He has 15 years of experience on this matter.

I'm nervous.
Consultation
I went to my first consultation last week. The doctor was confident in improving my profile. They quoted the procedure at about $5,500. I was almost speechless at the quote.
Today I went to a new doctor for my second consultation. The doctor want completely confident in the final result because I have a great over bite and chin is secretly receded. He brought up jaw surgery but admitted that it's very expensive, about $20k. He estimated that even with a large implant, I might not get the perfect chin. I was disappointed to hear all of this but I reminded my self that I'm not looking for a perfect chin, one that protrudes on line with the nose. I'm looking for a stronger and more masculine chin. As you can see from my first set of pictures they don't all protrude that far out. I'd be satisfied with that. They ended my consultation with a quote of $2,700. I was pleasantly surprised.
Tomorrow I'm going to my third doctor for a consultation. Hopefully he gives me since honest opinions.
