It took a lot for me to make this review. I used to have a broken nose for 10 years and decided to go for a rhinoplasty and septoplasty since it was crooked. I chose this doctor after months of research and a consultation. I ended up flying across the country to get this done. In addition to the rhino and the septoplasty, he also did a turbinoplasty. Even though my nose looks better now, about 6 months after the surgery I noticed I couldn't breathe through my nose at night and would wake up many times. As time went on, this started happening more and my nose became bone dry. I researched what could be wrong and I realized these were the beginning symptoms of ENS, a condition of having your turbinates operated on. When I called and mentioned it to him, he told me to get some ponaris emollient. I got it and it dried out my nose and burned it even more! I got a CT scan from a local ENT which showed a hypoplastic left middle turbinate with paradoxical curvature and a small concha bullosa. My symptoms are progressing and I can't sleep without a humidifier anymore. The dryness is getting worse and becoming constant this winter and my lungs hurt. It's harder to breathe. Saline sprays dry out my nose even more so I try not to use them. I'm miserable because of this surgery. Im scared to death that these symptoms are only going to get worse and I'd give anything to have my old ugly nose back just so I can be able to breathe again and not be in a constant state of agony! I finally had the chance to tell him last night how much pain he caused me. I wish I never did this! I used to have a runny nose everyday in winter which is now permanent dryness and pain. I hope to God one day my symptoms will get better, but this will be one of my life's biggest regrets.
