Still Frustrated
What was supposed to take 12 months is now going on 14. I have 3 more sets and am supposed to be done then. Based on my experience so far, they will not be done in 6 more weeks. Am I frustrated with my dentist? Yes, for not setting appropriate expectations. Am I frustrated with Clear Correct? ABSOLUTELY! How could they have been so off? 6 more sets of aligners after what was supposed to be my last set. I won't receive my last 2 sets until the end of the month. Then, I'll see if those look like my teeth will be straight. At this point, I wish I'd gone with traditional braces. I think I'd have straight teeth by now.

I just got what was supposed to be my last set of aligners. They will not be. The front tooth that is still crooked and in front of the side tooth is the reason I decided to get braces or aligners in the first place. Am I disappointed? Yep! Do I see that other teeth have moved and gotten straighter? Yes. But no one sees the bottom teeth and the whole reason I did this has not been fixed. So, I'll spend 2 more weeks in these "final" aligners and then see what my doctor decides to do.

I got my engagers this morning. 2 up top and 2 on the bottom. The procedure was harmless. My doctor polished them so they are smooth, but still feel funny without my aligners in. I'll only have them for this set of aligners, so up to 3 weeks. This time I went in after 2 weeks for new aligners. I think my teeth are getting the hang of it and are ready to move! These ones are extremely tight and hard to get out without my hook. It feels like I'm pulling all of my teeth out of my mouth. The doctor said that should only last about 3 days. I can't believe I've been doing this for 2 months already! Time is flying.......... these teeth will be straight in no time!
