29 Year Old Mom of Two - Mission "Get My Body Back!"

Hi all! Before I jump into things I will introduce myself. I have been lurking around this site for the past few years and reading up on different procedures and experiences people have had. Having two kids in two years was NOT kind to my body, and although I was overweight to begin with, the resulting changes to my stomach and flanks.....well, lets just say, its been a struggle! Originally I was looking into having a "Mommy Makeover", however the expense, coupled with a recent divorce, becoming a single mom, and moving provinces, did not exactly lend itself to invasive surgery! I basically figured I would just focus on diet and exercise (when I could get the motivation to exercise)!

Several weeks ago I was browsing around Groupon and came across a discount on 6 Zerona treatments, and it was a price that I could not pass up! I reviewed the Zerona posts on here, and the results looked promising. The first consult I had at NuYu Vitality, Sita discussed the number of Zerona treatments I would likely need in order to achieve the results I wanted (at least 24), and it would be around $2500 for them. She let me know about the SculpSure machine, and discussed the difference in how it works. Zerona allows the fat cells to release their contents and drain, while SculpSure actually heats your fat cells to a critical point, resulting in cell death. Basically, Zerona is great for detoxing and losing some size, but you still have the intact fat cell, which can fill up again, while with SculpSure, you permanently kill and lose that fat cell. Ultimately, I decided to go with a double belt of SculpSure, and to follow up with my 6 Zerona treatments, and she included 5 Venus Freeze skin tightening sessions for me at no charge. I paid and booked.

Fast forward to today! I went in to see Sita, and have the SculpSure done. She did photos, got my weight, marked me for the belts and we got started. I am not going to lie....it hurt! I know that some people say they didn't feel anything, but to be perfectly honest, from a science perspective, if you are heating cells to the point where they denature and die, its not going to be comfortable!!! We did my stomach first, and then I rolled over onto my stomach, and we did my flanks. While they both hurt, my flanks were definitely worse. I have people compared the pain to labor, and while I would say that is a stretch, it is definitely hot, it burns, and you have to find some way to work through and handle the main. Labor breathing....that was effective! Haha!

I will update this post as time progresses. I am going back next week to have my first Zerona and Venus Freeze treatments, which will help to tighten the skin as I lose fat/mass.

As an FYI, I have lost about 25lbs by following a ketogenic diet, and that is something that I will continue working on throughout this process. I know that there are many people who do not want to change anything about their diet or exercise, because they want to see how much the treatment can effect change on its own. While I understand that, I also think its unrealistic. If your body is unhealthy, inflamed and reactive, you are not going to get the maximum effects. So, I will continue on my weight loss journey through diet and light exercise (I'm not going to jump into a crazy workout routine...yet), as well as doing lymphatic massage and stimulating my lymphatic system, drinking lots of water, taking Milk Thistle, etc. to increase the results of my treatments.

Hey all! My lower abdomen and flanks are a little tender today, and it feels like I did a stellar ab workout! There are two swollen areas on my stomach that are a little hard underneath. My plan is to have a shower, then massage with some bio-oil after.
