WORTH IT
I’ve been large breasted since 15yrs old and I’ve always felt uncomfortable about my endowment.
I started this journey Feb 2017. My family physician said the whole process could take up to 2 yrs if Ohip (Provincial government insurance) was going to cover it.
On Dec 1 2017 I saw the surgeon, he was wonderful and caring. He informed me it could take up to 1 year to get the surgery done.
I received a call Monday from his office there was a cancellation on the 27th of March so I’m having it done it 2 weeks!!!
So from start to finish it’s been 13 months.
I’m super happy but anxious now.

My story is similar. I mentioned to my doctor in January 2016 that I would like a reduction and had my surgery in February 2017. I think they tell you 2 years so you'll be happy if it takes less time.
Welcome to the other side!

Sometimes it does take up to 2 years. A friend waited almost two years. My surgeon said Ohip (Ontario health insurance plan) likes to drag their feet, maybe they hope the patient will back out and they don’t have to pay for the surgery?? Who knows for sure.

Hi everyone,
I had my surgery this morning and it went very well. I’m home now and resting in bed. The pain is manageable and I’m usually a big wimp when it come to that!! I’m way smaller but can’t look yet. Nurse is coming tomorrow to check the drains and take a look. I’m tired but feel good. I’m eating crackers and tea this evening . I hope tomorrow is as good as today. I’m concerned the pain may set in but keeping optimistic.
I will update after the nurse leave and maybe ask her to take some pics for me.
