Decided to try zoom. Found a great dentist online...
Decided to try zoom. Found a great dentist online and actually had a deep cleaning done by them about 2 weeks before the zoom. They were having a sale on zoom for $299 which was amazing because I was planning on paying around $600 when I booked the consultation.
I brushed for 2 weeks with a special toothpaste they gave me and took 600mg of ibuprofen an hour before I went in.
The first 2 15 minute rounds were a breeze. I had 3 zingers but I was prepared for them so I powered through it easily.
The last session was also fine until the last 3 minutes. Holy crap it was zing city. I was in tears while she took the gel off and I almost refused to let her take an after photo for my file because I didn't want air on my teeth. It was the bottom front teeth that hurt. I can't even explain the agony. Luckily my sister had hers done a few weeks ago and she told me the pain would be gone in about 2 hours. She was totally right. I took more ibuprofen and took a nap for 2 hours. I'm awake now, zingers are about 95% gone and my teeth are crazy white. I will absolutely do it again someday. If the pain lasted longer than 2 hours I don't think I would be able to handle it again.
