Nervous and Excited - Omaha, NE

Today I had my preop appointment. It went well. I passed my preop hemoglobin test and physical. My only complaint is my surgery as rescheduled for earlier in the day without my knowledge until I got there. This left we scrambling for an early morning sitter for my kids. I had assumed I would be able to drop them off at school before going to surgery apt. I also was not given much time to ask questions or anything. I did bring a list and got a few answered during the questions they asked me. I getting nervous and excited for March 6th all at the same time.

So my PS sent me a letter in the mail with some info on it for things I would need to know for the post op. One of the things is that if you have hypertension or take blood pressure medications you have to have an EKG within the last year of your surgery. So I called my regular doctor and am going in today for that. I hope it turns out fine and that I am able to still have my surgery on March 6th. fingers crossed everything looks good and my blood pressure stays managed throughout my surgery.

So far I did a consult, and have scheduled for March 6th 2015. Also have a pre-op appointment for Feb. 17th. I found this site and I am researching to get prepared. They have been good so far about finding times for the appointments and also scheduling the surgery. I will have to update more once I go to my pre-op appointment and then also after the surgery.
