Finally my New Nose!!! teheheh! - Omaha, NE
ORIGINAL POST
RealSelf.com taught me so much through you ladies...
WORTH IT$12,000
RealSelf.com taught me so much through you ladies and occasional gentlemen that I wish to put my grain of sand too by posting my experience and pictures.
Dr. Steven M. Denenberg, of Omaha, NE is the surgeon who made the miracle of transforming my witchy nose into a very nice one even as it’s still swelling. I’m grateful to him for so patiently listening very carefully to me for months in an extensive email exchange where I repeatedly asked and told him what exactly I wanted my nose to be and he explained everything he estimated could be done. I got it and I’m so happy!
By my pictures you can see I’m not your RealSelf average age lady...I’m 88-1/2 years old (wow!) and this was my 4th revision (wow wow!!!) Yes, I had to kiss 3 frogs (apologies to the frogs as I love them!) before I found my prince! LOL! You can see I needed a very specially skilled and attentive surgeon.
I flew from NYC to Omaha, NE in July 5 and went straight to the office for consultation (hence my red eyes from rushing and not sleeping) where Dr. Denenberg, a charismatic person and helpful staff, welcomed me. Pictures were taken and the following morning...a successful surgery! I remained at the hotel at a discounted price by mentioning Dr. Denenberg, and stayed for one week nicely relaxing and recuperating fast.
Had local and IV sedation anesthesia and didn’t feel any pain whatsoever, just slight discomfort of having to breathe through the mouth, but only for 7 days. A lady was scheduled to spend the first night with me who diligently applied ice compresses through the entire night. Everything went so smooth and tranquil it felt more as if I were visiting a friend in Omaha! lol!
I had some swelling and hardly any bruising. In July 12... unveiling time!!! The cast and stiches came off and oh what a happy surprise to see my face in the mirror! I was thrilled. I hugged my doctor (though I’m not fond of hugging around) and thanked him profusely! After 3 failures I didn’t think I was going to ever have a happy nose! :)
I’m posting some pics of the previous nose, and 4 after pics taken on the 7th day. Of course, I shall have to take some pictures of my present nose, now about 3 weeks after, and will add them soon too. I must buy a smartphone with selfie capabilities to make it easier to show you the progress of my nose.
Got any question? Just shoot! :)
I know how immensely difficult it is to find the RIGHT surgeon, so I wish you all the very best of luck!
P.S. Sorry I'll post the pics later; having a little problem...

History through...my nose pictures! LOL!
These 4 pictures were taken by Dr. Denenberg on the 7th day, just as I was leaving. I shall take more from time to time when I have a chance. :o)

You look amazing!! Dr. D is the best, and I am so glad you went through with your decision to go see him. I am still healing from my revision with him back in April, and although I am not 100% as thrilled as you are, I am pleased that it's better than what it was. I still hope for as good of improvement as yours, so am continuing to be patient with the healing process. I can only hope that I get as good of results as you! I still have over projection, and tip still quite heavy. I am jealous how amazing your nose looks so soon after surgery, you definitely got amazing results. I will be posting my B&A's soon, but I do need to get a better camera, this phone is terrible.

Hi Sally, I'm anxious to see your b/a. Well, while I'm thrilled that my long and witchy nose has been corrected into a normal one, I really wanted it still a little shorter, at 3/4 view it still shows a little bulb-like downward, and the front shows wider. BUT, one must not forget that plastic surgery is an INexact science and also it depends on how our own tissues heal up. So I'm enjoying what I did get and probably it will become a little smaller as swelling continues to shrink.
So Sallyann, did you spell out to him EXACTLY what you wanted? One by one the procedures around and on your nose? Sometimes it takes for us to call to his attention how important to us it is that what we want, be done at surgery to avoid doing it over. Did you?
Send your b/a ASAP and I, as well as many other ladies at realself.com, will tell you exactly what our opinions are. :o)

Thanks! If I were as young as you....I'd have a number of more things done, like under arms, etc. Go for it! Life is too short and pleasures not many. :o)

painter: Did you have it done? I hope so and that you look terrific with 20 years off!!! Let me know! I'm now searching for what I can do to remove or at least diminish my wrinkles with which I'm so rich! :o)

So much better.I had a bobble on end of my nose similar to yours and I too waited over 20 year for a revision. I chose Lucian Ion and I am so happy with the outcome. Your nose looks lovely x

Hi 963tal, and thank you but my nose is far from being lovely. In addition, those bobbles as you call them, are on significant areas of my nose and they look like worts. :(
I'm so glad for you that Dr. Lucian Ion removed them!!! Do you think you could email me your BEFORE photos to see if I they could be about the same? And of course also the AFTER photos so I can go to him too? You can send them via PM if you prefer. I'd give you my private email address except they'd x it out! I'm really most interested to see whether what you had was the same as my "bobbles" so I can have some hope too. Anticipating my deep thanks. :)
