Not too much to report as far as any changes... After 5 weeks my workouts are getting closer to pre-surgery & the swelling is getting better slowly but surely. Next week I report back to work... so I'll get a chance to see what being on my feet for 5 classes will have on me. I will also have to deal with social eating which I dread b/c for some reason people think it's weird to eat a salad every day for lunch. I will not be peer preassured to eat in the school cafetria!!

I think the new before & after speaks volumes! Happy healing gals!

I actually was told by my boss that people don't like to eat in front of me because I make them uncomfortable.(I bring my lunch everyday, healthy salad & chicken or tuna). My co-workers constantly put me down saying, "you torture yourself all the time, then you torture yourself again by working out, you can't live like that forever so I am gonna eat what I want.". Give me a break! Don't let them sway you, or peer pressure you because they hate themselves every morning when they look in the mirror. When they order pizza, the pizza arrives & the boss says "ok everyone, pizza is hear, but (my name) go ahead and eat your healthy food". She points me out. Could this be discrimination? Ha ha ha! I could have a law suite here! Ha ha ha!

Yes and yes. She is putting you on the spot in a way that makes you uncomfortable. She is also bullying you in the workplace

I went for a consult a couple of days ago. For the TT procedure and lipo on the flanks, I was given the price of $13,000. I was shocked. It could very well be in the ball park, no idea. i am going to make an appt. with another Dr. the problem is, each one costs. the first was $100 and the other Dr. is $200. The cost goes towards the procedure but, still, I thought it was a lot? any advise is appreciated.

4 weeks PO - feeling more like myself day by day....

4 weeks PO - feeling more like myself day by day. My swelling is not so bad, it only gets really uncomfortable in the evenings when I do too much during the day. I've stepped up the cardio on my workouts, but am still nowhere near where I was pre-TT. My strength training is down as well, but I think that once I'm totally cleared I'll get back to where I was and then some. My weight has stayed pretty steady for the past 2 weeks (down 7 lbs from day of TT) which is a disappointment to me because I've been sticking to a 1500 calorie diet and it seems like I'm starving for no reason. However, one thing I've definately learned from this whole thing is to be patient!

On a positive note, I thought I looked cute on the fourth of July... my boyfriend was impressed... and I can see definate improvement in my belly button and scar. The parts of my incision that are not still scabbed over are really smooth and thin and I haven't done any scar treatment on them. The upper part of my belly has softened up but the lower part is still tight and numb... once again patience!

I have a post-op appointment this afternoon... fingers crossed that PS will tell me all is well.

My PS told me to make sure i have button down shirt to wear as it will be painful to lift my arms over my head post-op. How soon post-op were you able to pull on clothing over your head? Any advice for what products I will need post-op to help my recovery? Anyone know how long the TT results last? Did anyone have a TT several years ago?

Hi a-beauty... My PS also advised me to have a button down shirt after surgery. I bought some button up pajamas to wear home from surgery, which was the only pre-surgery clothing purchase I made. I was able to lift my arms up enough almost immediately. I think he wanted that particular style of top immediately post surgery b/c the anesthesia really takes a while to wear off and it's easier for the nurse to help you get dressed if you have a button top.

I really didn't get any special products for after surgery. What I wish I had though was a cup that was easy to use from a prone position so I didn't have to sit up to drink some water.

I wish you the best on your TT!

Your 4 week results look incredible! You look so tiny!
July 9, 2012
Thank you! Since you are having a drain-free TT like I did. I really think you will have a quick recovery. I was able to stand straight and resume a limited workout pretty quickly.

I look forward to seeing your results! Good luck!

PO day 16... just had to share. My tummy has always been more tube-shaped than womanly. This morning enough swelling had gone down that I finally could see one of the benefits of the lipo... the development of a waist!!!

Wow your 2 wk po results look great! We're you able to go bk to work yet? It sounds like you're able to do a lot at this point. I'm only taking two wks off work & hoping that'll be enough time. Thanks for sharing!
June 28, 2012
Actually, I'm a teacher so I haven't been back to work yet. I think I could do it though since the only strenuous part of my job is being on my feet for 5 hours. The one thing I'd recommend before the procedure is to get your legs strong with squats & lunges. They really helped me with getting up and down by myself from day one. Good luck on your TT, recovery, and return to work.

Thanks Cyn for the good advice. I've been slacking off with my workouts for the past 2 wks so I'm gonna start bk getting in my routine. I'll make sure to add extra leg exercises:)

Thanks Cyn! I've been thinking of increasing my water drinking too so I can be use to it after surgery. Figure it couldn't hurt. I've been seeing so many people talking about needing to drink tons of water to help with swelling post-op.
