Hi all. I've been reading plenty of personal stories on this site and am ready to share my journey. I'm 41 years old and workout 6 days a week (3 days cardio-3 days strength training) and am in good health. However, I was overweight for the first 30 years of my life and have never been able to get my stomach area in good shape. I joke to people that it's my Buddha belly, but I'm really not happy about it. So now that I have the means to do something about it I am! My son, my boyfriend, my sister, my best friend don't understand why I'm doing this and are not as supportive as I'd like. But I've told them all that I'm not doing this for them I'm doing it for me! Good for you for recognizing this is about you and not allowing yourself to be discouraged by what others may think. With the workout you describe it certainly sounds like you have done everything you can to get yourself into good shape - well done on that!
