I don't need a lift!

So I went to Dr. Gonce today and it went really well. Both my boyfriend and I felt he was very professional and knowledgeable but not annoying about it. He was very approachable and kept asking me if I had any questions and would answer the ones I had. Now the good part! He told me I didn't need a lift! I'm so happy and relieved! He told me it wouldn't be necessary since I haven't had kids. I like that he didn't try to sell me on unnecessary operations just to make more money. I tried on 450 CC silicone sizers. I liked them with my current figure but I wonder if it will look too big when I lose weight. I will for sure be going with silicone unders high profile. Now I need to be strict with my diet and exercise so i can lose enough weight by September to get this done. I'm excited!

They do look really good on you! I don't think I will be as small as you when all is said and done so maybe they will work ok.

You have a lot of Breast tissue so 450cc will give you sexy ass boobs lool I barely had none compared to yours. So I think when you're done you'll end up getting a size you'll love :)

Haha thanks! I don't want to end up a DDD though. That's way too big for me.

That's great news! That will be best for your scars AND your budget! :) I'm glad you had a good experience w Dr. Gonce. I did really like him & his office environment. Do you think you'll go to consultations w any other surgeons? As far as the size, I think the sizers look great on you! I doubt the 450 will be too big. Big yes, but probably not too big. I am 5'3" w a small frame & I got 350cc's & could have gone bigger & still not feel too big. You do have a lot more natural breast tissue than I do, but remember that will also decrease as you lose more weight! I bet w that occurring you'll still feel comfortable in the 450 range. Btw I love your tattoo on your shoulder! Super cute. :)

I just went back & looked at your wish pics again. I really do think 450 will be great! Also, if you go under the muscle you lose the look of about 25cc's.

Well the funny thing is I went and looked at the girls I like most on here and they are all around 425-450. I didn't realix it before. Maybe I can have them after all.

Oh, and so far I don't think I will see any other surgeons. I'm pretty happy with him.

That's great that you won't need a lift! Is he going to reduce the size of your areolas during your surgery, or will he leave them alone?

He said he can if I really wanted to but will leave them as is. As long as they don't turn into saucers they should be ok and if I go under the muscle they shouldn't do that. This way I don't have any unnecessary scars and if I have kids and want it redone maybe I can revisit the idea.

This areola discussion is very similar to the one I had w my surgeon pre-op! I also decided to leave mine alone, & I am so glad that I did now. I can only assume that they have stretched some (as multiple surgeons told me they would w implants), but they definitely haven't stretched much proportionally to the rest of my breasts. So now, I feel much more proportional (regarding areola size) & I'm way less concerned w the size of them than I was pre BA! All without scars around them, or the increased risks of them stretching at the scar sites, losing sensitivity, or difficulty breastfeeding in the future. My husband actually mentioned it out of the blue yesterday & said that he's glad I didn't go ahead & have them do my areolas.

Thanks for sharing an update on your journey! I'm happy to hear that you don't need the lift if that's something you didn't want to do. How much weight are you trying to lose?

Hoping for 30 pounds or just whatever I need to lose to look better. I Have a lot of muscle so I may not have 30 pounds of fat to lose.

It may be too late, but I would get a second and third opinion. From what I've researched and my PS explained to me is if you have ptosis, saggy breasts, if you do implants without a lift you could very likely have the waterfall effect where your breast tissue hangs off the implant which is not a desirable result.

Your PS may very well be right, but I would get at least two more opinions.

First consult tomorrow!

I'm going to my first consultation tomorrow with Dr. Mike Gonce in Oklahoma City. He did my sister's surgery and she was very happy with him. Im excited and nervous. I hope I can see past my body as it is and just pay attention to the sizes and how I want to look. I still have a ways to go on my figure and I hope I will be able to look past my stomach fat.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes. I found this post in the doctor Q&A about what questions to ask before a breast lift and augmentation. I know you're not getting the exact same procedure, but I think the questions are still good!

Thanks! It went really well! I found out I don't need a lift after all. Should I start a new review under Breast implants or can I change my procedure? Or I can just keep it as is.

Ok, so I've been in my head way too much about this. I've decided to just go ahead and call the surgeon's office my sister used and make an apt for a consult. I can't stand feeling so wound up and having no answers. I don't want to wait several more months while I get in shape. This way I can get an idea of what how much money I need to save and what my procedure will actually be. I already feel better just coming to this conclusion.
