Poor lefty

dinky76
$4,500
Called the dr office today. Poor lefty is so swollen! Sweet nurse Robin said moist heat and Advil will do the trick. Guess I'll take a bath with a glass of wine tonight!! Incisions are looking great, still have a little back pain off and on. Trying to do some easy stretches to help. Sleeping on my side and back with no problems. Spending some time with Google, looking for reasonably priced "transition" bras that don't look terrible until I can get fitted in another 10 or so weeks.

Sorry if you already mentioned this, but have you tried Arnica tablets or creams? It has been great for me for bruising. Enjoy your bath and hope lefty gets better soon ;-)

Two weeks

dinky76
Had my 10 day checkup last week and had my stitches removed. So I can wear deodorant now! Still need to wear the compression bra 24/7 until this Friday, and then I'll be looking for a new no-wire bra. I can sleep on my side now, but I have to hold a pillow against my chest to keep my arm from pressing my breasts together. Taking nice hot showers to help with the remaining bruises and help with dropping. I still ice them occasionally as they do still swell off and on. Went out with the hubs and friends on Saturday and loved how I looked!

How do you feel about the scars under your arm? How have they continued healing?

Back to the office today

dinky76
Oh man. The back pain was killer at the office today! I seriously thought about finding a conference room just so I could lay down and stretch out. My incisions are healing, so I'm dealing with the random sharp pains that I've read out. I'm ready for a dose of heavy meds and my bed. Thought I would share pics of my incisions. Dr. Silverstein does a special "tuck and fold" (my words, not his) so that the scars look just like an armpit wrinkle. They look rough now, but amazing after they heal!!

I have serious cleavage envy!! :-)
Hope the rest of the week back at the office gets easier and easier. And maybe you should find a place to stretch! If someone protests you can say you've have a medical procedure and that stretching is part of your post operative care routine. ;-)
