1 month post op - Better day by day... God is great!
My lefty is healing nicely, but the righty has been healing slower due to a blood blister developed under the tape near the t-zone. My PS has advised healing process will be a little slower (righty) due to extreme swelling bled alot during the procedure. To all the RS ladies out there having any similar slow healing issues, hang in there it does get better daily. Blessings~
1st post appt
Greetings RS Ladies, hope all are doing exceptionally well. I just wanted to share my first post op appt visit today. We got there about 10 mins later than my appt time due to rain. I also forgot my pillow which made the ride a little bumpy. Once I went back to the examinating room the "nameless assistant" began immediately aggressively ripping off my dressing. I grabbed her hand to stop her, she was going to town (thus the reason for the loss of 2 gold stars).
As the uncomfortably winces flooded out due to high nipple sensitivity. I quietly whisper, take your time and be gentle. I see myself grabbing her hand tighter this time, to speak with my eyes rather than my mouth. She finally stops and says, it's just the bandages sticking to the tape and proceeds to pull the dressing off like wrapping from a late christmas gift....
Finally, I had enough and just moved her paws to let her know I was done talking. Finally the PS comes in (a ray of sunshine) and is very pleased with the results thus far. It appears a blood blister has formed on right breast directly under the vertical tape. He was not concerned, said it was old blood and it would burst on it's own. My drains were not removed "bummer" I was so looking forward to that happening. Generally, they like to see less than 15-10cc from the drainiage. I still have approx 25cc of drainage on both sides, my righty drain got clogged and was not draining as quickly as the lefty. The righty is now draining old dark red blood which he said is normal. I still have quite a bit of bruising on both twins around nipple. However, the PS said I am free to try the Arnica gel (see attached photo). I'll try it tomorrow after my first shower... Yay! Otherwise, no major issues pain meds still taking Oxcycodine 5-325mg every 6ish hrs. Healing nicely and God is still forever great!
