I am like many women on the site with the same sort of mystery health issues. Silicone implants since I was 29. Told me they were for life. Even if they ruptured it was fine, being contained inside the capsule. 8 years ago I was told by my kaiser radiologist that my left had ruptured. No problem. No recommendation to get them out. Fast forward and I now have vascular arm issues on both sides, hair loss, severe dry eye. Then I had an ah ha moment. Could this be my implants. My vascular Dr said absolutely not! However he is stumped to what it is. With my own searches and education on implant complications I can not believe the attitudes. I will be seeing Dr. Feng for explant 6/10. I will have to self pay and it will be worth it.

Good for you! I had an explant with Dr. Feng last week. I'm so sorry about your "mystery" health problems :( I can relate. My symptoms were not as severe (yet) but a close friend had many of the same issues as you did with all the same clueless doctor visits. It can be agonizing not knowing what is going on with our health. But you are on the right track!!! Thank goodness for those ah ha moments :) I will be praying for good results and for your overall health and recovery. It can take time to get your health back after a rupture, be patient, eat healthy, and keep your chin up! You are not in this alone. Hugs.

Oh my gosh, it makes me so angry when doctors insist that implants couldn't possibly cause problems. Particularly ruptured implants. Grr. Glad you are getting them out. They sound like they are not for you!

I so agree! I have no pulse on my left side for 2 years. The vascular Dr.s said that for no visible reason that my arteries are closing. They took my case to a symposium and all the Dr.s were stumped. They see that it is happening on my right also (bilateral) which made it stranger. They have come up with "we don't know" So hmmm what do I have that is also bilateral ?? Ruptured breast implants. They listened to me and said NOPE. Really when you just told me no one knows what it is but they can say for positive what it's not.

I had an explant w/Dr.Feng last Nov.& my health has been great, it is absolutely amazing! You are in good hands and your right, it is well worth the money(i had to pay out of pocket also) I paid that through out the last ten years anyway
