I never had acne as a result of even or as a young adult. I was diagnosed with PCOS about four years ago and suffered from cystic acne which led to acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. Thankfully I have the PCOS under control but the uneven skin tone was bothering me. I have tried all types of topical creams, home remedies, and lighter chemical peels. While I have had some success when I heard about the VI peel I thought I would give it a try. I went to my dermatologist to have it done. As others have said I started to peel around my chin on day 3. I thought hey this is really working...wrong!! You will experience a lot of itching but it's bareable. I didn't peel that much in my problem areas, but I figured that was ok bc the mfg says not all people peel. I experienced a lot of irritation around my eye area. I will say it lightened that area up. What was most concerning is I broke put during the peeling process. I mean cystic on my chin. I haven't seen that in some time. I am two weeks in since peeling and still have some breakout. I'm vey disappointed bc I followed the directions for at home care.
