I've always had hooded eyes but as I turned 40...

I've always had hooded eyes but as I turned 40 they started to age me where I was always wearing dark makeup to try and camouflage it. Dr. Mitchell caught my eye with his upper eyelid special of 1349 when Dr. Higgins wanted 2700. I felt the normal apprehension that the deal was to good to be true and perhaps there was a reason. The truth is Dr mitchell does so many of these surgeries he has a lot of practice and talent. After deciding to do the surgery and waiting for the date, the weight of my eyelids was so much more noticeable being in the fore front of my brain. My stitches were very small creating a perfectly hidden scar. I do a lot of researching and analyze photos on real self so I did request that he trim as far out as possible and said I'd rather see some of the scar beyond my eyelid crease than have to deal with (how some people have) small pockets of fat above the outer corners. Eyelid surgery was a quick 45 min in-office procedure and 10 day recovery. Surgery felt like having your hair cut. Recovery felt like the afterburn of a bee sting and I had the normal swelling and lite bruising with some dry eyes which visine could not help for 2 days at @ 5 days in, so I used a gel eye drop with mild relief. I didn't like sleeping slightly elevated and often slipped off my pillow so that contributed to my swelling. My advice is definitely avoid alcohol and tylenol and fish oil and start taking bromelian and arnica supplements for at least a week before and during healing. Have at least 2 eye shaped ice packs (for Ulta store) and definitely ice a lot like at least once a hour for 15 minutes. Functionally I am now able to keep my eyelids open much easier even when I am tired driving home late at night. I am enjoying being able to do my eye makeup in light colors that I've never before been able to use even in my youth.
