Road to recovery

Veronica23M
Doing much better today, still unable to bend much without seeping and slight stinging pain but it's not bad at all. I keep opening up the cut on the lower right side because of my jeans I wear for work and the bending and riding around on bumpy roads in large trucks. Placing Neosporin on it is helping. I started to use 100% silicone gel, I based that choice on an article that Eva G. sent that she thought I might like, and my doctor said it was great stuff to use. The one I chose at Walgreens is called ScarAway and normally it's $35. but with a Rewards card it's $18. for a limited time.

Thanks for sharing a photo. Did you discuss scar treatment with your doctor?

December 3, 2015
You'really welcome. No, not yet I really didn't think about it until now. Do you know if there are creams or such that others have used?

Thank you

I am waiting for insurance approval to get one removed myself... Did insurance pay for yours or did you pay out of pocket?
December 6, 2015
Insurance paid, I'm just not sure how much of it they paid. Initially my co-pay was $500. but when I was signing my consent I was told my co-pay was $210. at the surgeon's office and then the hospital charged $242. during my pre-opp. procedures. I have BCBS.
