After arranging for a Tummy Tuck, I went black to my plastic surgeon to chat about my saggy arms. I told him that I spend a lot of time outsid, swimming, doing yard work,, and enjoying the Florida weather. He suggested a short incision brachioplasty, and I asked to do it at the same time I did my Tummy Tuck, and reduces the price.

December 10 was my day! I awoke with gauze in my armpits, feeling like I shaved my underarms with a bush clipper. The skin on my arms looks much better, and should continue to improve.

I had a short brachioplasty done. My arms are kind of the curse of my grandma, get worse as you age. I didn't like the scars down my arms, I love to swim and live in Florida. How are you doing?

I am getting mine done December 23. I am off work 6 weeks. Hope that will be enough. I do a lot of tugging and pulling at work.

Short brachioplasty or down the arms? My incisions are only in my armpits. It's not that painful, I am constantly aware of the incision but not that painful. It has limited my reach. I don't know how long til I have a normal range of motion.

The pain isn't intense, just constantly annoying, limits my reach, ice packs alternating from my tummy tuck to my armpits...( doesn't sound very hygienic ????) I have gone to Advil and pretty much stopped the Percocet. I am posting new pictures, not attractive but hope they help someone else considering this!

Your incision looks great! How far can you reach up right now? I'm doing a short scar incision arm-lift with Dr.Shapiro but he wants to do a zig zag incision. Apparently, he can pull my arm even tighter...secondly, he's using dissolvable stitches. Why were your stitches not dissolvable? My arms are no longer heavy, I have a little loose skin...leaving my arm skin looking untoned. They say the short scar arm lift only tightens 1/3 of the upper arm...how much of the upper arm skin did it smooth out for you? Thanks for posting, you're the 1st minimal incision arm-lift review that I have come across.

Mine is extended...from elbow to inder breast. Getting rid of alot of axcess, skon. My ps uses stables externally and dislovable stitches imternally. My arms should be thinned outcand no more back fat.

I didn't find short scar arm lifts either. My arms are sort of a family curse, my mom and grandma had the same issue I do. He did both internal and external stitches. I asked for better not perfect. I didn't want the scars from the longer incision but that would have given a better result. It's all a trade off. My doctor didn't duscuss zig zags. Hope things work well for you!
