Cover up begun

Here is my current ship wheel tattoo covering my old leaf tattoo that was faded after 5 treatments. I had 4 treatments with old laser technology, 1 with Picosure, and a lot of months in between just letting my body naturally lighten what it could. This whole process has been over 5 years and still going, remember you are not your unwanted tattoo. Its in you but will change and you can find an artist who can rework your skin!

Cover up started

It’s been quite a few years but this year I was finally ready to start tackling a cover up. My dream of getting a ship wheel in a similar design as my first compass rose happend finally. Again whatever your progress, keep fighting and know a tattoo you don’t like is nothing to be ashamed about. Be patient and you’ll the funds, time, and strength to change what it is you have that you don’t want in your skin.

2 years since Tattoo Removal

Hey all! So its been about a solid 2 years since I stopped getting laser treatment. To this day I'm very happy with my results. I've even been tattooed again. The ultimate goal is to eventually get what I've had lasered covered up with a more meaningful tattoo. Here's my progress of the original tattoo in Dec. of 2013 and what it looks like now after 4 treatments with yag lasers, 1 with the picosure laser, and 2 years since my last treatment.

One thing I think we all deal with is that awful thought of making the decision to get that tattoo and realizing we hate it when its done. I was going through many other things that caused me stress at the time I got this tattoo. I blamed everything on myself and on the decision to get the tattoo. All I can say is hang in there. As time goes by even tattoos you don't want become part of you and become little mistakes you can laugh at later. Take these photos as literal examples of my progress but also as progress of my mental health. The first when the tattoo was done and I was thinking of suicide, the second after a few years of removal and thinking I couldn't be happier to feel like myself again.

This new tattoo that kinda looks like a snowflake is now on my chest and is a Nordic viking symbol called the Helm of Awe. It was a magical symbol of protection and also aggression against negative forces that may have entered a viking's life.

Keep moving forward my friends and be confident you can have pleasing progress by the end of your journey!
