36 Days Post Op

The wounds are not healing quickly. I'm attending a wound clinic 2x week to have the dressings changed. I'm still having pain at times. But what's affecting me most is the appearance of my breasts now. There's deep holes, puckering, larger scars and the shape is very warped. I'm beginning to think I made a mistake. One is much larger than the other. Very discouraged, self conscience and sad at this point :(

I felt the same way after mine. I was like, maybe I should have kept my large breast. It's been 3 months since my surgery and I feel alot better. My wounds are finally healing. My right side has a wound that is healing slow and stitches are coming out all the time. My left side was much larger like yours but they much more even now. Just give it some time. My youngest is 8 months old and I can hold her now without back pains. I'm thankful.

I am sorry this happened to you. It did to me too. Mine ended up ok once I got the right treatment. It took six months, but I have never regretted it.

I am so sorry you're having to endure this. I can imagine you thought you were "out of woods" in terms of complications. I totally understand how discouraged you must be. hugs On the plus side, from everything I've read about this procedure, you will still likely have a very nice result. It will just take you longer to get there. I'm at two weeks tomorrow and a couple of days ago I developed a spot of necrosis and I felt pretty down about it. I believe now that I will be okay too. Sending you good thoughts for speedy healing!

Im so so sorry you're going through this…I feel…like you, that a revision should be done. If your ps is in agreement, the cost should only be for the anesthesia etc with no charge for services. I went through the same procedure in 2013 & had a really great outcome. It did take a while & I didn't have necrosis…I was lucky. I wore my heavy duty, front hook, ugly surgical bra night & day for 5mths…I had very heavy, dense breast tissue & I just think you have to fully pull that tissue up & keep it pretty much bound to your chest wall to prevent the heaviness from pressing down on the newly stitched skin. I think anyone getting a breast reduction & or lift should do this. Whatever you decide just know, you look better than when you started…it's a process

40 DPO - wounds getting worse despite regular professional wound care.
Zissou82October 11, 2017
My breasts aren't healing. 40 days post OP. I attend a wound clinic
every other day. Healthy, non-smoker. They are getting deeper and more
severe looking. I'm having to take a lot of time off from work. What is
going on here? Could sutures be causing this? I see PS next week. This
is so frustrating.
