Day Of Surgery
Pepita2015January 29, 2016
On the day of the surgery, I was very VERY nervous as you all can imagine. I had to sign some last minute papers and seeing it all was very nerve racking and scary. I was led to one of the rooms in the back and there Nurse Joana made sure I was in good condition and explained the medication to me and answered all questions I had! At this point I was more calm, then Dr. Nadimi came in and talked with me also and took some before pictures of me. Then Dr. Kabaker came in and I showed him where I would like my new hair line to be. After all the prepping for surgery, I was taken to the operating room. I remember talking to the nurses before and then once I got the IV Sedation everything felt like a nice easy nap! Afterwards, I was so sleepy that I can barely remember the ride home. I just know I put my arm around my sister and then went to sleep haha. That night there was pain in the back of my head which I was told was completely normal! But it was kind of uncomfortable to sleep the first night. Now I have no pain in the back of my head, and there is only a little pain where my new hairline is. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate the pain about a 4 1/2 right now. It is really important to take the medication when needed or the pain would be worse. I haven't experienced any really bad bruising or swelling on my face which I'm happy for! So far, things are going smoothly. Next week I get my stitches removed and I'm really excited!!

Who is Dr Nadimi? Does he assist with the procedure?

Hey I have some additional questions, is sx done at his facility or at the local hospital? How long after sx will the stitches be removed? Is there a bandage dressing that's placed on the head as well? When is that removed? Sorry for the questions, just trying to figure out how long I'd have to stay in the area post op and how many days I'd have to take off for travel.

No worries! The procedure was done at his facility and I will be getting my stitches removed next Wednesday (a week after having the surgery). After the surgery I had bandages on and then the next day I went back to the office to have the bandages changed. The day after that I was able to take off the bandages on my own. Feel free to message me any more questions! :)

Any reccomendstipns on where to stay? Also is your hair natural? ( I'm assuming you are AA or biracial based off your pic; please correct me if I'm wrong.) Did Dr Kabaker mention any marked differences on how he would stick the hairline for kinkier textures? Just wondering if AA hair would make a difference in having the hair "grow through the incision". Happy healing! Can't wait for your update!

I can't really offer any recommendations on where to stay because I live roughly 45 minutes away from Oakland so my mom just drove me there. You're correct! :) He didn't mention any differences on how he would stitch the hairline for kinky hair, but I also didn't ask.

Please keep us posted.... Also I can't tell from the pic but are you male or female? Thanks.

Thank you soooo much for sharing! Your results look fab already. Are you thrilled?
Also told me that I had taken two hours of his time. I looked at the clock and said "really, I have been here 2 hours already?" He said " well from a year and a half ago and now". I had mentioned to him that doctors with barely 5 years experience charge sometimes $250 just for a consult and he said maybe that is a good idea as you have taken up my time.
But really each consult with him was only not more than 30 each about two entirely different issues.
I was surprised by his ass comment and felt like handing him $100 since he seemed slighted by giving up his time.. But realized he is just a grumpy weirdly humored ass, despite being an expert at foreheads. If he wants a consult fee , he should charge . People would pay.
But I will not consider him now because I confirmed he is rude with an ass humor. I think that's why I was deterred from using him a year and a half ago. But this time it was so apparent by his comment.
Also he pushes fillers a lot . I think it's easy money for him by this time of his career. I felt he was irritated that I didn't just want fillers.
I had called before my appointment to make sure he was open to doing fat transfer as well as the forehead procedures because I didn't want to waste either of our time.
So you're right about the sarcasm. But if you need a forehead augmentation, I think he is the person to go to.... unfortunately. Lol
