Complications- ugh.

WORTH IT$1,000
Well, there's been a complication...Yesterday I developed an abscess on my right eye incision area. No Bueno.
Panicked and called the doctor last night- all closed. e-mailed her and then finally called the advice nurse. Thank goodness my doctor called me back last night. She advised me to put hot compresses on it and to come in first thing in the morning.
Went in first thing and she said that it needs to drain and to keep the hot compresses going, put me on anti-biotics and said to let her know if it gets worse. Regardless, she wants me to send her updates. I found one of those microwavable gel pads at the drug store (Walgreens) and it works pretty well.

So much for going back to work this week. It's like a huge ugly pimple staring at me in the mirror.

Hope you are getting better.
Thank you Janet! It's getting better day by day- hot compresses definitely help to get the abscess to release the fluid.

Day 9- very happy so far!

Still have a little droop on my right eye but staying optimistic. Using arnica gel on my bruising and taking turmeric. As you can see, I started using mascara- I had to- I'm just very careful with it. Being a redhead, my lashes are blonde/transparent! Lol

7 days!

Today went to the doctor and I thought I would be getting stitches out- nope. She said they would work themselves out with a little massage in about a week. I added some mascara (carefully) so I don't feel so bare.
My concern is that one eye- my right- has a spot that has a millimetre drop in one spot. Doctor says it may improve on its own- it's only been a week. I don't think so myself- that spot feels heavy. She said once it's been a month, if I'm still concerned then she would do Botox to bring up and stabilise my eyes. I'm praying it'll be turn out okay!

Looks great! I'm at 7 days today and doing good myself. I haven't posted any pics tho. I probably should.
You definitely should post. Congrats on making the leap of faith! How does it look? Are you happy so far?
