I had the same excision punch done to my lip piercing holes. It's been about 3 weeks since surgery two weeks without stiches Wondering what kind of cream you use to fade the scar

i have been using s silicone gel called new gel plus. I really like it. It was a little pricey but I definitely think it's worth it.

How long did it take for the bruising and redness to subside?

Swelling and bruising was definitely like a full week or so, but I do bruise very easily so I expected it to be bad. I still have some redness just in the spot that was taken out but nothing a little dap or concealer won't cover but most of the time I just leave it. He did tell me that the redness will continue to fade over time tho.

hi do you have any current pictures of the scar right now? I have a tunnel scar on my upper check bone, and am interested in seeing how yours heals! Did you consider a TCA cross for this scar? Did they do a punch excision of it, or did they use a knife?

Thanks so much!! really could use your help. would mean a lot.

Hi, I will definitely post up some new pics. He used a scalpel to cut out the tunnel scar. I honestly didn't consider anything else I was actually in there for something completely different and just happened to ask him about my scar. He just explained to me the procedure and just having seen him before for other things I felt comfortable with the technique that he used. I do have to go back in two days because I have a small lump in the inside of my mouth either from the stitches or the original scar which is not visible, but more just annoying to me so he's going to fix that. As far as the scar it's still a little red but it's completely flat. Best decision I have made to get that removed I would definitely recommend doing it. Just make sure if you do you use some type of silicone gel on the scar for 3 months after. let me know if you have any other question always glad to help.

All my stitches came out today except the ones in my mouth He wants to leave those to dissolve on their own. My mouth is still pretty sore, but everything seems to be looking good so far. I have to start using a silicone patch and gel help with scaring. I go back in the 14th of July for my next check up.
