I had skin pen done at the end of January to help with discoloration and some shallow scars from Voluma. This made my skin worse. The cheek that had no scars, now has little pin holes all over it that make the skin look rough and the texture look horrible. The cheek with the shallow scars had the scars fill in a little bit, but it left holes all over my cheek. I look worse now than I did before the treatment. I went to a plastic surgeon to be evaluated before I had the treatment and he said there were no adverse risks with this treatment that would cause any further damage. I let them know that I thought my face had small holes all over it a month after the treatment and was told by the office, that I should go see my dermatologist instead of having them look at the damage. I had already seen a dermatologist and insisted that they see me. They were extremely unprofessional about the situation and paraded me around the office taking pictures and always made sure there were multiple people in the room when they were with me and would not have one person left with me. When I demanded to see the doctor, he finally saw me and said that the holes were just pores and that they had just changed sizes. Luckily for me I had up close pictures of my face before the treatment. When I showed them to him, he acted like he could not tell the difference. I have since seen 2 other doctors that confirmed they were holes from the skin pen. This was done at only 1 mm depth.

The doctor and practitioner were nice, but when the issue occurred, they were unprofessional in the way that the situation was handled. The only reason I was seen after the problem was due to me being direct with them about their lack of professionalism.
