First off stats:
31 years old
2 kids; 24 total months of breastfeeding
5'6", 120lbs
Starting off 32/34A (doesn't fill out)
Goal is full C, natural look and feel
I'm petite, athletic build looking to better fill out my clothes. I really want a full C cup and as much as a natural look and feel as possible. I work out about 3-5 days a week and am very active otherwise so functionality is really important also.
Today was the last step before my procedure - my preop and final discussion about size. My doctor does tissue based planning and we have already decided to do silicone gel, subpectoral (under the muscle) with an inframammary (under he crease of the breast) incision. Today we had our final discussion of size and decided on 300-325cc after taking into consideration my measurements and the look I want to achieve (see dream boobs picture).
I'm getting really nervous for 2 reasons - first, when I had my first and second consult we were closer to 350-400cc when trying on sizers and I don't want them to be too small. And second, he says that the negative thing he hears the most is that afterwards women think they're too small. I know I shouldn't be too fixated on the 'cc' but more on the look, but I'm worried they will be too small. Any advice/words (or pics) of encouragement would be so greatly appreciated!

I am very similar to you. 5’4” 112lbs.. just had surgery on Thursday. I work out 3 days a week and wanted functional boobs too! C cup was my goal. I started with a flatter chest than you and went with 345cc Naturelle Inspira (soft gummy). Had to go high profile bc I have such a narrow chest wall.. moderates wouldn’t fit. I’m so happy with how they turned out. I think the size is perfect for me. I’ve got pics posted if you want to take a look. Good luck! They will be great!

They look great so far! My wish boobs, the girl seemed to have a similar body type and had 350 so we're close. I'm sure they will be great, just overthinking.

Day of treatment
Surgery day!
JC9812October 20, 2017
So today was surgery day! My husband and I arrived at the surgical center at 7am for surgery at 730. My nurse took me back right away, my surgeon briefly came it to say hello, then I got changed into a gown, some always fashionable TED hose(compression stockings) and hairnet then signed some more paperwork (most of my paperwork was done at my preop appointment). The nurse put a small IV in and started some fluids, then my surgeon came in to mark me up!
I was really nervous about anesthesia, but after speaking with the anesthesiologist and learning I wouldn't be intubated (breathing tube down my airway) I was a little more at ease. After changing ; signing some paperwork, getting marked up by my surgeon I got to see my husband. The nurse then took me to the surgical suite where I was met by the anesthesiologist, my surgeon, nurse and a few other people that I don't remember what their roles were. I will add that everyone was fantastic from start to finish. I could not be more thankful for the competence and professionalism.
Once I got onto the surgical table and into position the anesthesiologist gave me something through the IV then put an oxygen mask on me and told me to take deep breaths. All I remember is some nasty tasting flavor in my mouth? But it sure did the trick, because the next thing I remember is waking up very groggy in the recovery room. There were definately some ugly tears of happiness which I'm not sure if it was from the anesthesia or hormones. I'm not sure exactly how many, but I remember my surgeon coming in a few times after surgery, which I greatly appreciated. My surgeon wound up putting 300cc in each side (we discussed 300-325 at my preop appointment). He said that he attempted the 325cc, however they looked too unnatural which I did not want.
As far as pain goes, initially the pain was almost nonexistent when I woke up, but after about an hour it started to get very bad (8 out of 10 rating). The nurse gave me some extra strength Tylenol before I left, but the ride home was a little rough. Once I got home around 11am (yeah, super quick!!) my husband got me all comfy on the recliner, made me a sandwich and gave me my pain meds (tramadol) and antibiotic. Thankfully I have not had any side effects from any of the meds, including anesthesia. About 30 minutes after taking my pain meds and applying ice to the top of my breasts (my surgeon's office provided me with some great ice packs!) I was comfortable enough to get a solid nap in. Once I woke up I felt awesome. My pain has stabilized to about a 4 out of 10 with the pain meds. I've been limiting my range of motion to basically that of a T-rex!
One of my main concerns with my recovery was my children. I have two young children (2 and 4) and I've been able to sit on the floor and gently play dolls with my 4 year old. I've not really been able to interact too much with my 2 year old because he's a little rough and doesn't understand, so I've needed help from people with him.
I have received a call from my surgeon's office and a call from my surgeon to check and see how I was doing. And had an appointment made for Saturday for my follow up.
Overall, this entire experience from start to finish has far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I met Dr. Shah and his staff I was impressed with their genuine care and concern for what I wanted from this experience. I had gone to three other consultations and Dr. Shah was the only surgeon who sat down and the first thing out of his mouth was him asking what I wanted from this procedure. He was honest and set realistic expectations for what he cold do. Dr. Shah, as well as his entire office staff were extremely attentive to my every question and need. So far I am over the moon with this experience!

Post op day #4
JC9812October 24, 2017
So today is POD#4. I called my surgeon this morning to let him know I was very uncomfortable on my left side and my back. Mostly just tight and tense from my muscle being tighter on that side. He was able to see me in the afternoon. After he saw me he gave me a muscle relaxer to take at night to help with some of the tension and had his office manager show me some massages to do to help the implant get into the pocket. He was very reassuring that my 'frankenboob' would eventually go where it's supposed to!! I felt much more at ease! I've o it had to take ibuprofen twice today and am going to take my muscle relaxer before bed. I've been able to do more and more every day!
(Wrote this on POD #2)
I had my my first post op appointment with my surgeon on Saturday (POD 2). He said they are looking great! The left is still slightly higher due to my muscle being tighter on that side, but it will get better every day, especially after I start my massages in about a week and a half! My pain has significantly decreased - I am not taking pain meds regularly just as needed and am completely off my tramadol since last night! My back hurts more than my breasts from sleeping in an elevated position. I get stiff if I sit still for too long. Overall, not as much pain as I had anticipated.

How are you feeling now? Any changes to the left breast?
October 29, 2017
I feel awesome! Still a little bit of back pain, but overall great! Mornings I wake up a little stiff and sore, but it goes away once I'm moving around. I also went back to work today (I'm an ER nurse) and was able to do most patient care (except lift, push carts) and not be in pain. I can tell my left breast is softer and slightly starting to move down. I'm trying to be patient (my surgeon told me it could take a few weeks for It to really settle) and I do my massages at least twice a day and am noticing a difference.

That’s great! I am a retail pharmacist and I’m not sure how long I should request off since my work does require some pushing and lifting (less than 20lbs)....not to mention I also have 2 active little kids at home. I’m still in the researching phase and there’s so many things to think about. Seeing how fast you recovered gives me encouragement though! So thank you :)

So similar! When I started looking there were 3 huge things that made me really nervous about recovery. The first was my kids, second working out (I do pole fitness so it's a lot of upper body lifting and I lift about 3-4 days per week) and work. I have an almost 2 year old and a 4 year old who are super active and needy. I stay at home most days and thankfully my husband is able to work from home most days. You will definately need someone around the first week to help, but I was able to sit on the floor and play with my kids and do very small household chores. As far as work goes, I took about 9 days and that was perfect. I had to ask for a lot of help from my coworkers, but I was able to do light labor. I would have been good with a week but glad I stretched it a few more days. I think what has really made my recovery so great is that my surgeon helped me pick a size that was right for MY body. Hope this helps and good luck! I'll try to keep this as updated as possible!

I’m thinking of getting mine done and am a similar oft size, age and situation a you. Do you mind if I ask our bra size before and how guyot ended up going? The size really seems to fit your body!
I do office work 3 days a week, think I’d need to lol a whole week off?
October 30, 2017
I was maybe an A, but not sure exactly. I literally wore sports bras all the time. I wanted a full C, but haven't been able to shop for bras yet because I'm less than 2 weeks out. Im not sure when you're getting yours, but I will try to keep this updated! If my job was less physical I would have been good to go in 5-7 days. Let me know if you have any more questions. I'm sure I can find out my exact measurements from my doctor if you wanted!
October 31, 2017
I go for a consult tomorrow so knowing you’re a full C helps :) good to know you could have gone back earlier ugh a less physical job, I want to take the least amount off as I can
October 31, 2017
Don't take that as written in stone, I haven't been sized for Bras yet because the swelling still needs to go down, but that was my goal. I swear that getting the most natural size for my body helped. The first consult I had the doctor wanted to do 450cc's
October 31, 2017
Wow that’d be huge! Hopefully the dr I see will have some good suggestions on sizes that suit my body. Is the pain afterwards intense? I have two young kids and they love to cuddle so I’m nervous that even if I have lots of help for the big things that the simple things will also be challenging
November 2, 2017
The pain between when the anesthesia wore off and the time I took my pain med (tramadol) at home was intense but only lasted less than 2 hours. After that it was just sore and uncomfortable for a few days. My daughter is so cuddly, but was so good after surgery. She's 4 so I was able to explain to her that we had to cuddle a different way because I was hurting. My husband had to intercept my 2 year old a few times he wanted to jump on me. You'll definately need someone with you for the first week with the kids if it involves lifting them up and such. Simple things like sitting on the floor with them and playing we're fine after my surgery. I was able to drive after about 5 days but couldn't go anywhere with my 2 year old by myself for about a week. As far as recovery in general, make are you have enough help to take it easy for at least a week. You're paying a lot of money and don't want to mess them up. A healthy recovery is worth avoiding the long term problems!

How are you making out now? Was reading some of your comments and your concerns match my own (I’m worried about taking care of my 2.5 year old).! My mom is coming to help and we are staying away for a few nights while my hubby watches our son but he is not an independent sleeper/loves to cuddle so I’m stressed about that! Oh and we are moving into a new house tomorrow so going to be a lot of change at once! Would love to hear and see how you’re progress is going !! Congrats on making it to the other side :)
I went for my consult but my BA is scheduled for March, I think my PS agreed wth 325, I want a full c, and am not interested in huge boobs. I don’t want people to instantly know.
I want to do resize again though. Can you?
