Well a little over 24 hours and I will be having all of my top teeth pulled and implants placed with temporaries. Excited, scared and nervous all at the same time. Super comfortable with my doctor and staff. Won't be put to sleep. Doc prefers you awake to make sure bite is right etc. just Valium and gas. (With locals) hope it's enough. Have found so much wonderful info here reading others stories. Will update after procedure.

Bummer. Just got a call this morning that my suregeru was pushed off until Monday. Doctor had a death in the family. Was already for this. Now I lose 3 days recovery time. Guess I better have some steak this weekend since it may be awhile. Lol

Hi HopefulAng. I saw your pics. Your teeth look amazing. I hope mine turn out as nice! Seeing those kind of results makes me want it done and over. But still so nervous. I also don't want it to effect my speech too much.

Bummer is right! It takes a lot of emotional effort to get prepared for this surgery. I'm sorry yours has been delayed. Mine isn't until Dec 5, so I have 17 days to go. (Yes, I'm counting every day!) I am enjoying the stories posted on this site. I believe I am about as prepared as I can be. I look forward to hearing about your journey. Good luck!

Thanks Shelly! Yes I've gotten some great info and support here as well. It really helps to talk to those that have already done it. I'm sad I loose my 2 "extra weekend" days of recovery time. But I'm sure it will be good. I will most definitely post about how it goes.

Well I did it. Whew! I thought my heart would pound right out of my chest. But man they were so good. They kept me calm. Didn't feel anything. The shots to numb was the worst part. That hurt lol. I'll try to get some pics in bit. A special shot out to Gileb and and HopefulAng for all the support and answering all my questions!!

I'm dying to hear more. How do your teeth look? You sound very upbeat, which is terrific. I hope you have a great night: I'll bet you sleep like a baby now that everything is over.

Your experience sounds like HopefulAng's. She did not steer you wrong. Congrats to you both!

Did they work with you on cost or did insurance cover some

They do bill insurance but with dental there is a minimal maximum payout. I think it was $1500. So the rest was on me.
