IN LOVE!
I believe I’m almost a month post op from my BA. I’m completely in love! My boyfriend said I have more confidence now. I’m not used to wearing revealing clothes so the clothes I’ve been wearing are baggy and loose. A lot of my friends couldn’t even tell I had a BA which is exactly what I wanted. I don’t have any pictures because I wasn’t comfortable taking pictures of myself. But once I take 3 month post op pictures with my plastic surgeons I can post the before and after. Thank you so much Dr. Healy!!
Not ittybitty anymore!
So I finally did it and I am one day post op.
Surgery day is actually a blur since I slept most of the time. I wasn’t nervous at all before going in. I my with the nurse, Dr. Healy again, and the anesthesiologist. All whom were very nice and informative of how my surgery was going to go. Once in the OR room the anesthesia kicked in and I fell right to sleep. The next thing I know is I’m in the recovery room. The nurse in the recovery room was very nice as well. While in the recovery room Dr. Healy checked up on me twice before I left. Once I got home all I did was rest. I took one pain medicine and Valium and my antibiotics and I went back to sleep. Later that night I felt fine so I decided to put to eat it’s my sister and boyfriend. I did need help getting up from bed and what not because everything felt right but other than that I could do pretty much everything by myself, I was just slow. Fast forward to the next day, I had my first post op appt today and it went great. dr. Healy and Jackie made me feel so loved! After that I went home then left to go to the mall to buy a few things. I’ve only been taking valium, my antibiotics and Tylenol. I don’t feel like I need the painkillers anymore. So far so good! Honestly this feels all surreal like I’m dreaming or something haha. But I can’t wait for them to drop and fluff!

I have always had small (barely there) breasts. I knew during my teen years that I eventually wanted a BA. Fast forward to my mid-twenties… I found realself, and I started doing research on my own. After two years, I finally found the courage to schedule myself a consultation with one Dr. I knew I still wanted a BA but it just didn’t feel right to do it with the one Dr. I met with. A year later, which is about August 2017, I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Healy.
I wasn’t nervous going into my consultation with Dr. Healy and I believe it was because of all the great reviews I had read about him. When I first got to his office I was greeted by the ladies in the front. I filled paper work out, the standard procedure when visiting a a new Dr. When I got called to the back, I thought I was going to be introduced to his nurse first, because my consultation I had with another doctor a year prior that’s how it went. But instead I met Dr. Healy first. The consultation was great. I did so much research prior to my consultation with him I knew about everything he was explaining to me. But I appreciated that he went more in depth about everything like what type of implants he uses, where the surgery sites could be, etc. I even appreciated the diagrams he drew on his touch screen! After all of that, Dr. Healy called Jackie into the room to be there while he took my measurements and pictures. I was surprised about getting measured because after all my research, I had not read about that being done. So I asked him what it was for and he told me it was to make sure that I got the perfect implant size that would be proportionate to my body. He also said that he believed every surgery should not be the same, and that it should be customized towards you. And I think that was when I knew I wanted Dr. Healy to be the doctor to perform my BA. That stuck with me throughout the whole consultation.
After all the information he explained to me, he let me try on sizers with Jackie. Before he left the room he had told Jackie what size he recommended would look best on me and said his farewells to me. To be honest, Jackie and I loved the size he chose. After the sizers I spent some time with Jackie. I got to know her a little better throughout our conversations together.
Fast forward to two months later and I finally scheduled my surgery day!! It’s in less than two weeks and I’m both nervous and excited!!
My preop appointment is next week. Once that is done, I’ll come back with an update.
