So why SmartLipo? Well, although I've sacrificed unhealthy eating and drinking habits, I work out consistently, and I always keep an eye on my weight...I could NEVER get rid of my stomach pudge! It seriously has plagued me for years! No matter how fit I was that pudge instantly made me look "chunky" "thick" "Curvy" and it ruined many summers!
[DAY 1: POST-OP] As of today, I just have a super swollen tummy but I'm so glad I got smartlipo and I can already tell that stomach pudge is gone! Wa-hooooo! If you have any questions for me PLEASE send them on over! I love to help!

As far as my SmartLipo, I think it went very well but its still too soon to say. I guess only time can tell with this but I'm sure I'll have great results! I can honestly say the most painful part for me was the relaxing "cocktail" that Dr. P injected me with...my shoulder still hurts, lol. Other than that, I felt the tube go in at first and it grossed me out but it didn't hurt. I just asked him to give me more good stuff and as soon as I got another injection of juice I was out like a light! I was only awaken to turn so he could work on my waist then I was done :)
When I got home, I slept the most of the afternoon during which I drained a lot. I did feel nausea once because I was standing too long but as soon as I laid in bed I felt better and slept soundly. I went to my check up this morning and Dr. P says I am very swollen but that my results should be amazing! I am hoping he is right!
[DAY 5: UPDATE!!!!!] Hello everyone :) I come with an update. So far I have realized that the more active I am the better I look and feel. The swelling has gone done a little bit. My sides are still very sore and tender. I feel some numbness around my belly button when I press down on that area...it grosses me out, lol. My bruising is almost gone and my little holes are healing pretty well. I returned to work on my thrid day and was a bit scared since my job requires alot of movement but by the end of the night my swollen tummy had gone done dramatically and I was feeling great! I'm trying to stay as active as I can when I'm home. While watching TV instead of sitting I am marching in place and alternating with some easy weight lifting.I am drinking about 60-90 oz. of water a day and of course eating healthy....but that's always been my thing. lol.
My Doc had told me that he doesnt believe in wearing compression garments and gave me a very light one to wear for the first two weeks. It's very ligh, thin, and has plenty of stretch. I honestly don't like it because I have tank tops tighter than this but I wear it and I wear a firm shapewear garment that I used to wear under form fitting dresses and feeling the tighter compression at first bothered me but now I like it. I feel more held in and secure. When I'm not wearing anything everytime I walk my tummy hurts, so this helps a lot. HOWEVER, before wearing this thing I did take it to doctor P to have him give me the okay. I have an appointment tomorrow so hopefully I'll continue getting good news. I keep reading horror stories about lumps and dimples and it's got me so scared :'( Has anyone had ultrasonic massage for this? I heard something about that and I'm interested. Message me with any info or tips to avoid lumps and dimples...thanks everyone!
I have many photos of before and after, send me a message if you'd like to see them. I took them down for privacy reasons.

[UPDATE 4/12/10]
Hi everyone! I have been healing very well and some mornings I wake up with a very flat tummy and other mornings its a little swollen...but so far so good! I began massages on myself but I don't feel like I massaged hard enough. I developed a big lump under and around my belly button and a few smaller ones in my upper abs section. I decided to go get a professional massage and she did a great job. The only really really really painful area was around my belly button...she massaged that aggressively and all I could do was clench the sheets and take deep breaths....the rest was a bit painful but not excruciating. When I left my lump under my belly button was much softer but its still there. The other lumps feel like they're gone. I have taken advantage of spa week here in NYC to buy a package of 5, 45 min massages for 250 so I have decided to get a professional massage on my stomach once a week for the stubborn lumps that need to be treated aggressively and I continue to massage daily. I am using Arnica gel over my skin before massaging because since the professional massage I'm very tender again and the slightest touch hurts (feels like a sun burn). Again, to those interested in seeing pictures of my progress send me a private message!

Thank you so much for your response!!!I feel the same way, I tried to massage the area my self but I know I'm not doing a good job. :-(. My abs are very sensitive right now to the touch, should I wait a little longer, does the massage hurt?

Hello, I am researching doctors in the NY area and have seen 3 good reviews on this doctor but am a bit leary since he is listed as an opthalmologist. Can you email me before & after pics? I appreciate it. Would love to see your results. Thanks
