I went to Dr. Eviatar because he is an Oculoplastic (eye) Surgeon and I wanted to improve my undereye area. I know this is a tricky, delicate area so I wanted an eye specialist not just a cosmetic surgeon or dermatologist. At 53, I don’t mind my minor crow’s feet but my undereye crepey skin, fine wrinkles and dark hallows made me look much older—especially when I smiled or laughed. I had CO2 laser under my eyes about 15 years ago which was wonderful so I figured it was time for a touchup. To my surprise, instead of another laser procedure or chemical peel, Dr. Eviatar recommended a less evasive approach of Sculptra, Botox and treinoin cream. I was skeptical that I would get the results I wanted but Dr. Eviatar was correct. I see a huge improvement in my undereye area. The Sculptra plumped up my undereye area making the area fuller, smoother with less fine wrinkles but more defined undereye creases—which I love, looks natural and much more youthful. I continue to see improvements using the treinoin cream on both my uppers and lowers (very sparsely, every other day). I look even better in person now than my "before and after" photos
Dr. Eviatar’s approach seems to be more conservative, especially considering all the complications that can arise with undereye procedures/injections. I did see an immediate improvement after my first visit but as he predicted I required 2-3 more office visits for optimal results. Dr. Eviatar is also highly experienced at injectables so I had zero down time and no bruising. As a precaution, I also stopped taking Fish Oil supplements 1 week prior and took Arnica 2-3 days prior to my appointments.
I am very happy with the results and highly recommend Dr. Eviatar, especially for any procedures around the eyes. His staff is also top notch—very friendly, professionally and accommodating. Great experience, great results!

Are you noticing any difference from the sculptra ?? Did you only have it injected under your eyes ??

I noticed a huge difference with the Sculptra under my eyes. It was actually injected near my upper cheeks which filled out the hallows and crepey skin under my eyes. I understand Sculptra is not recommended for eyes and complications (lumps) can occur. However I think Dr. Eviatar is highly skilled with fillers, especially near the eyes. Also Sculptra needs to be massaged a few times a day for the first few days, which prevents possible lumps and optimizes results.

Approx cost included Sculptra near upper checks and a bit on jawline, approx 3 sessions. Also had Botox near crow's feet and on the "11" in between eyes. Dr. Evitar is conservative which I appreciated, this is gave me time for the tretenoin cream to work under my eyes. Also, price quote was for overall treatments/sessions to get the results I was looking for. I didn't feel I wasn't nickel and dined for each injection or treatment. Very fair pricing, especially for a cosmetic surgeon who specializes in injections near eyes.

UPDATE: I started to noticed a bit of volume loss under my eyes, so I opted for touch up Sculptra treatment with Dr. Eviatar. This time, I did not take arnica prior to treatment and did get a bit of bruising. Love the touch-up results but next time I'll remember to take arnica a few days prior....I still think Dr. Eviatar is best NYC area doctor for eye rejuvenation. And Amy, Dr. Evitar's assistant is awesome.

Did the Dr. tell you take a certain type of Arnica and how much and when? So glad you are happy with your results. I have same thing under my eyes but am so scared if something goes wrong since it is by the eyes but need to do something.

Yes, Dr. Eviatar's staff provides pre-treatment instructions/recommendations, including Arnica—starting 3 days prior to treatment. Since I had absolutely no bruising during my 1st treatment, I figured I didn't need the Arnica for 2nd treatment. Wrong. Bruising was still not too bad, easily covered with makeup but next time, definitely Arnica.

I understand your concern completely. Injectables near/under eyes is scary and complications can arise. I strongly recommend only getting this type of treatment by board certified eye surgeon who specializes in injectables. Good luck.
