Jonathan Gerow is the Best!

WORTH IT
I had my original treatment done at HIS in LA in 2013 and I had a bad practitioner. I moved to NYC and contacted their office and they told me they’d fix it. I told them I only wanted their best technician to do it. They gave me Jonathan, and that’s when I met him, about four years ago.
They weren’t wrong. Jonathan was the best and he still is. Back when everyone was doing hard straight lines, Jonathan had mastered the art of the natural broken hairline. But, I never liked my original treatment in general; it was blotchy and I’d gone over it too many times trying to fix it, so I decided to have the whole thing removed and redone with Jonathan this year.
I really didn’t trust anyone but Jonathan to do it for me, but because of scheduling and how busy their office is (and they were very patient and did an amazing job working with my tight schedule), I decided to let Eric do my first session. I had never met anyone before who was basically on par with Jonathan in terms of skill, but Eric was, so clearly Jonathan knows who he’s working with. Eric did a great job for my first session.
Jonathan did my second session and I’m so happy with it. He was incredibly patient while I compulsively ran back and forth to the bathroom to look at it in the mirror. He’s such a nice guy it’s unreal.
The most important thing when making the decision to get your scalp tattooed (and it’s a huge decision) is feeling confident in the talents of the practitioner. I feel like Jonathan can do anything. I’ve always opted for a very broken, natural hairline that fades in all the right places. This is Jonathan’s expertise. He does it effortlessly (so did Eric). He’s meticulous and he’s very proud of his work and he should be. He really invests himself in what he does.
I also know that Jonathan had his treatment removed and redone so he was very understanding about my experience.
I’m very happy to write this review because Jonathan is the best. My only advice for those looking to get SMP is to know exactly what you want when you go in. While they will gladly help guide you to an appropriate hair line, pigment, darkness, etc. it is best, in my experience, to be able to communicate exactly what you want.
