I have always felt my ears stick out too far from...
I have always felt my ears stick out too far from my head and since I was little it was something that bothered me. My ears weren't horrible by any means, but I felt I looked a little elfish- particularly when wearing any type of earring other than a stud. I met with Dr. Schaffner to talk about taking my ears back a little bit (an otoplasty) and completed the procedure about 2 months ago. Dr. Schaffner was very patient with all of my questions and walked me through the entire process. While the surgery is fairly minor, I was still a little nervous going into it, so I'm thankful I had someone I fully trusted. After the procedure Dr. Schaffner checked in on me almost daily to make sure the post-op was going smoothly (it was). I was in good hands the entire time and can't imagine a better doctor.
The surgery was a huge success and I love the results. If anything, I probably wear hoops a bit too much now- they really don't go with pajamas.

As mentioned above, Dr. Schaffner is an excellent doctor. He answered all of my questions with thoughtful explanations, checked in with me prior to the surgery to see how I was feeling, and went above and beyond checking in with me during the first few days of post-op. I knew I was in good hands the entire time, and I'm grateful I found Dr. Schaffner.
