Had My Lower Body Lift

Started a blog for my lower body lift! Surgery was April 4 and I'm recovering well. Check it out. Have pics on there. Amazing difference!

Scar Tape

I forgot to post a link to the scar tape I'm using. It's called SCARx Tape. https://www.scarxtape.com. I'm going to using for my lower body lift and the Embrace for my inner thigh lift.

Five Weeks Post Op

Everything is going great! Here's pics of the incisions, one bare and one with the Embrace on. I have to say I think the Embrace is doing a great job treating the scars. They look great. For the arm pits, scars down my torso and the breasts I wound up not using the silicone sheets. They feel terrific, but don't stay on very well in the arm pits or the breasts, especially when I exercise. And having to take them off to rinse every day is a pain.

I did a search on RealSelf about Scar Therapy and saw opinions that say tape seems to work just as well. The idea is for the scar to stay moist and flat. I figured tape would work best for my situation. Plus the silicone specifically shaped for areola area is expensive (the Embrace took all of my scar therapy budget lol). I saw a doctor comment who came up with his own tape. It's inexpensive so I thought I would give it a try. Wow, I'm so impressed with this tape. It stays on for up to a week (tho I wind up having to change the arm pits probably every three days jut because of the location, and I cut slits into each side of the tape so it will contour to the curves of the area). When I take the tape off the scar is wonderfully moist. Before I put tape on again, I massage in Bio Oil (love this stuff, use it on my whole body). I also try to press on the incisions daily as a massage.

The arm pits are finally comfortable. I can sleep on my side again (hallelujah!). I can raise my arms over my head and reach for most things. I've resumed my cardio but not strength training. Hopefully next week. I have to ask.

My breast lift is shaping up beautifully. The infection is long gone, but I had to pack the wound, so it's still a bit open. I estimate it will be closed within the next week. They still need to drop more and fill in underneath. I can see how they're shaping up and I'm so excited for how they're going to look!

Gearing up now for my lower body lift. My surgeon doesn't want to do it until April. I'll start a new blog for that and post the link here. I'll keep you updated on how the arms and breasts are doing!
