Hi , so After plenty of research and through experiences on here I decided to go for 2 threads one either side . I had very slight jowels just starting appear , and from what I had read a soft thread would be ideal .
I had this 4 days ago . The procedure was ompletely painless ( the anaesthetic needles hurt more in my cheeks ) . It took around 40 mins from beginning to end .
You're going to look weird after be warned ???? Even though I didn't think I had too much loose skin I still looked very odd straight after . Skin is quite tight and stretched that first day . You're going to have problems smiling , yawning, sneezing and trying to eat some things ( nobody warned me of that ) .
I had zero pain that first night , and next day so just tender rather than painful . I noticed on the 2nd day that because I had to talk more , eat etc: that on occasion I al out felt a popping sensation and again just tender . I still looked weird ! Skin was puckered on both cheeks and even little a little lumpy but again no pain . Day 3 and it was very tender , definite lumps and bumps along the thread lines in both cheeks . This was the day I had planned to go back to work but couldn't . Painful if I open my mouth too wide to eat or sneeze ( which caught me out ouch )
Day 4 ( today ) still have lumps and bumps on both cheeks , which are still tender to touch up not tender anywhere else . Rang my doctor today and he's not worried so I'm not worried , all part of the healing he says .
I can't say I've seen anynlift at the moment , to be honest I'll just be glad when these bumps have gone .
I'll update as I go , as I wanted to give a true diary for anyone thinking about it or experiencing the same . Reason being I came on here to read other people's experience of the same thing to reassure me and can't find any .
Here's hoping to wake up bump free ????

Days 5 to 9

Ok , so I didn't wake up bump free on day 5 . In fact the lumps / bumps were more prominent and very tender on day 5 . I rand my doc who was great and advised me to take Pirotin ( anti hystemine ) , I started that day and on the morning on day 6 I could already see an improvement . By day 7 the obvious bumps had more or less gone ( still ones I can see under the skin ) and the tenderness had gone completely . Day 8 I can now start to see some lift , however when I feel along the thread lines I can still feel a bit of swelling under there . Today ( day 9 ) I can yawn , sneeze & eat with no tenderness which is great . I can definitely see some lift but I know there's still some swelling under the skin as I can feel it along the thread line . My jaw line is definitely tighter . My doctor has told me it will 4 weeks before I see the full effect and this will improve from that point but like most of us I am just impatient ????.
Anyone considering it just be aware this is not a quick fix ( not for me so far anyway ) it's certainly no ' lunchtime lift ' . You are going to be a week or so before you look normal .
I'll continue to update every few days and let you know how it improves .

I was exactly the same , I've messaged you about the pirotin . It will be a few days until you can eat and smile, and the pain will ease . The puckering ... my god yes I felt like a freak for a week ! Just be prepared that it's going to be a least a week before you look and feel any better .. but you will feel better I promise x

Day 10 and 11
lisadesOctober 2, 2017
Day 10 - woke up today in pain left side of face , I think I may have accidentally lay on that side last night . I've successfully laid on my back up to now . Bumps seems to have gone down more today , so just a little tender on that left .
Day 11 - bumps seem reduced today , but I've noticed sharp pain back in my left cheek if I smile or when I eat . This left side definitely seems to be tender again . Getting very frustrated now, I still look worse than I did before I started and I'm sick of being in pain . Seriously beginning to regret starting this progress .

Omg reading your post on days 10 and 11 I seriously feel for you and i am not looking forward to this at all ..I am regretting ever having it done and that was day 1 yesterday. Today day 2 reget it even more in fact thinking I want them taken out...i hate how I look and the pain I am in.

It gets better honestly , I believe taking them out is even worse . I know it doesn't feel like it now but the pain will go x

I had this procedure done 7 years back & a truly waste of my money. The results were minimal plus I had terrible experience with the incision in the back of my ear not healing. When it did heal it was bumpy & looked horrible & when I mentioned this to the doctor who did the procedure he calmly told me to put makeup on it! Needles to say he was a doctor I'd never use again. My research before the procedure never said this is not long term results with minimal improvement. Personally save your money

This is a real worry fir me as l had thus gone yesterday and my face is very puckered today. My surgeon says it is normal due the first 72 hours.

Hi , yes the puckering is normal but mine did not last 72 hrs , mine was puckered for over a week and 3 weeks for it to go completely .
I sincerely hope yours lasts only the 72 hrs x

I am now 3 weeks post lift and have no tightness or pain whatsoever , my skin has also smoothed out which is great .
My doctor is also a trainer in this procedure and was not concerned with any aspect of my lift he says , but I do thank you for your concern in replying .
I am certainly not trying to satanise this procedure , just giving an honest account of my experience having gone through it. And by the replies on my post there are obviously others who had not quite realised the full extent of the tenderness and the length of time it may take to recover . Although I appreciate it will be different for each person individually
Thanks again for your concern
