50 Years Old Bellafill Under Eye Tear Through

$2,000
I had Bellafill under both eyes 2012 an d 2013 timeframe, the right eye looks great the left eye still looks swollen or buffy like little worm not too firm, when I press it down it smooths out very nice, but 2 minutes later pops back up, it may be fluid in the area from the PMMA Beads or just irritated and won't go down on its own. My Doctor did a great job, this spot, not sure what happened. The Doc did do the Kenalog/F5U injecitons, it worked for a 10 months or so and the same spot plumped back up. Has anyone ever had this happen any tricks or solutions to get it flat, it is not hard lumps or nodules, just puffed or fluid possibly. Thank you!!!!!!!

Have you posted your question to our Ask a Doctor forum?

Yes I have, no one has answered yet, it was about 5 days or so ago. Thank you!
I can not believe not one doc answered my question:(
Yes I cant believe it either, if the questions was, "who can inject me with bellafill?" we'd have 1000's of answers........
Exactly!
They won't answer because they are not supposed to use it under the eye. The problems are bad on almost all patients with bellafill under the eye area. Sometimes it does not show up until 4-5 years later. I have the same problem, I just got in for Kenalog every few months hoping I don't get atrophy and it just calms down. It could be the tiny beads are blocking a duct or lymph node they told me. They did an Ultrasound on it and it showed it was putting pressure on my ducts and lymphs, surgery will cause a big indent and they can't get the beads out regardless, not all of them, under the eye the filler migrates because of all the movement. Just a bad idea and a bad deal.
Your not alone. My doctor did not tell me bellafill was permanent or that it isn't FDA approved for the eye trough. The more I find out about the bellafill the more upset I get that these doctors continue to inject this product into people. No one in this state that I'm aware of has excised bellafill without disfigurement and scaring. There is a doctor in Italy that can melt some of the PMMA out by a laser. There is also a doctor in Nashville that has removed the PMMA without bad scarring and disfigurement. These are the choices I've found so far.
Hello! I would love to know if anything worked for you since I have the same problem under the eyes. I had my injections done in August 2015 and am still experiencing inflammation and that puffy/fluid like sausages which makes the eyes look even worse. I have had 2 other opinions and both recommended a lower bleph which is not something I am considering at this point. The only thing that keeps the inflammation down are oral steroids which I cannot use long term due to serious side effects. Have you had any luck? Thanks!!!
Any updates? I have the same problem the kenalog only lasts for about 10 months? I would love to hear if there are any solutions.
It's Edema
Most doctors don't know what to do when a person has complications with Bellafill. It's a huge issue!
