WORTH IT
Should probably say, I breastfed each of my 2 children for a year each so thats may have contributed to the sagging I have now. I had a nasty breast infection which was agony for 5 & half weeks no doubt due to those nasty implants whilst feeding my first child. Also, before BA my small little boobs were completely symmetrical! It was after the implants one nipple was a bit lower on the right than the left. I thought at first after explant this had corrected itself but sadly not looking at these pics. Oh why did I do this to myself!!!!

Hi, I had my explant April 6th with capsulectomy. Its the side with the grade 3 contracture thats looking worse but do see some improvement. Have been massaging with coconut oil but its too sore to do for long. Cant feel any muscle really still so soft. My left side has had much better recovery. I seem to have developed a bony lump further up my chest wall thats freaking me out a bit! I do feel really weak and tired. I hope its just still some post op swelling and will feel like myself again soon. Have you been tired? I was hoping this would make me much more energised. Still early days I suppose. Glad im implant free anyway! X

I hope you are continuing to remain positive and they're are improving with time. I think they look good. Ive joined as I wish to have removal and possible uplift, like you, I was pretty flat or little breast tissue to begin with. I had nagor 360 cc implants about 7 years ago. I have cc on my left. I think it's quite bad but never seen a dr about it. Just on here trying to gauge how I will look after removal. How are you feeling about your removal now? Jennifer x

I think you are healing really well. I know that it is tough to get use to the look of your breasts while they heal. I have much less tissue then you and I am still getting use it. I can see that in the short amount of time you have had some really good changes. I wish mine looked as good as yours at 22 day! I'm sure you will have a fabulous end result!

Hello, sorry have not managed to update recently. I've been so tired of an evening and this is not the site to be looking up when the kids are under your feet! Last Tue was my 3 week check up with my surgeon. On the Sunday before my appt I had showered and changed my steri strips when I had discovered a bit of a nasty whiff from one of my incisions. There was an area about half a cm as you will prob see in the photos that sadly looked infected. I called the hospital and they asked if Could come in for a swab & antibiotics. Still been fairly happy to that point and have been keeping on the compression & sports bra 24/7. On seeing the surgeon he was concerned that I was traumatised as he said I would be but told him actually I have been good, not much pain but uncomfortable under my arms like bruising. He said this was more than likely the compression bandages & at this stage there was no further point to wearing them & could change to a soft bra. He was very friendly and took the time to check I was happy & also advised me that the scar tissue was sent for histology & all was well. Was happy to hear that had been done. Anyway, he had a look, I told him of the one on the right looking far worse & droopy loose skin but on looking he said both looked pretty symetrical & was absoloutlely right not to get a lift as it was not necesssary. I've been that busy/knackered with work had not really thought through what I should ask him. I did ask about Bio oil and he said by all means try it now hundreds of his patients swear by it. He also recommended silicone strips to treat the scars but only after 6 months once they have healed fully. He said I could still see improvement & would be happy to see me in 6 mths so that was great as I wasnt expecting he would see me again. So left pretty happy, glad I was told I could take the heavy compression bandages off at home.... well, now the problems with image has really started!!! Before and when showing the surgeon, my compression had only been off briefly. I now realise how it was helping to kind of mould my breasts into a shape that actually, they cant maintain themselves! Well, mainly the problem one on my right. It has been way more droopy since removing the compression and when I wore just a sports bra overnight it was awful looking when I took it off. All bashed in & concave looking. The left did maintain its shape quite well but when I raise my arms it goes as wrinkly as thd one on the right. Like old prune wrinkly :-( I actually thought they were looking ok until I tried to take pictures for this site. It totally depressed me!! I've seen many say on here that their photos look better than how they see the result but I feel the opposite. On seeing the photos I couldnt believe how uneven they actually are and saggy I couldnt even post them on here! Have tried some pics today just after I showered & removed the waterproof bandage at the infection site. Thats what the redness is. Still quite sore & bruised but comfortable enough. Been reading on here to compare again, it seems those who left capsules in had better results. I know the surgeon said the capsule on my right was pretty thick. Also those who had a bit of a chest to begin with seem to have had great results. I was pretty flat to nothing before! Not shed a tear yet anyway suppose theres hope still. I am worried though. Must say Im every bit as tired as I was before explant so lucky I didnt suffer any illness that I know of. There was a small part of me hoping I would have a flood of energy & no more pelvic pain, not so for me. The surgeon did say if any questionsfeel free to contact him so regards after care have been pretty happy with him. Hoping I will be much happier and improved when I see him in 6 months. If I notice improvement I will post pictures as soon as I can. Will maybe get my husband to take them I'm hopeless. I may have in fact just taken them at the worst possible angle. I did actually think my implants looked ok but the photo I took of them pre explant looked awful aswell! Worried but definity no more implants for me. They may not look great but they feel better!

Hamg in there. You look good. I am still wesring my compression band and i explanted april 5th. I wear it 24/7 and may switch to just at night in a month or when i feel im healed. I have an appointment in a month , i just had one two weeks ago and my doctor offered another wrap lol shouldve taken it. I basically wear it over my sports bra and will until my outside scars heal because thatll let me know the inside is healed. Did you get capsulectomy?

Sorry I hadn't finished ! And I'm sure you will still see lots of changes. A doctor on this site said the healing process is similar to how your stomach shrinks back after pregnancy, I took mine a least 6 months! I know it's hard not to worry, I tried not to look at mine too much. It's been 3 1/2 months now and they feel a lot firmer and skin has tightened up. I still have a bit of wrinkled skin when I lift my arms too, but they look ok when I don't, so I can live with that! Like you I hated how my implants looked and although now they are not perfect, they look and feel much better! I'm so glad I don't have them anymore!!! You look much better without them. Give it time they will get better, you won't regret it. Good luck with the rest of your healing x

Hi, Thank you! Had tried to reply yesterday but see my comments have not registered. I do see improvement. If you read my earlier review re. Using the hairdryer over my steri strips after the shower well there is a lot less flapping about going on thank goodness! Still like wrinkly prunes though but mainly when I raise my arms so your right better just not to look & give it time. Have changed to a soft t shirt bra but last couple of days my whole chest area has been really tender and sore. Have ran out of the stronger pain killers & have just been taking paracetamol. Have been so so tired which is really draining me as well but trying to stay positive. They seem to look much better with nothing on but few hours in the bra and they are all squished again! Thanks again! X

In your last post you mentioned 'kids under your feet' Not suprised your tired! I suspect your doing too much and it's making your chest sore or maybe you still need a bit more support? I wore a lightly padded sports bra after the compression. I went on a weekend break at 5 wks post op and was in agony after pulling a cabin case around the airport! I'd say I still took the odd ibuprofen up to 6 wks. Started back to the gym at 8 wks. My PS told me to get measured properly, I thought I was 32 A but I'm actually 28C. I got a 30 B which fitted much better than 32A ( not so squished!) I got some good bras from M&S, now I wear the super soft padded one to work (hoping no one Will noticed how flat chested I am!) And they sell a pack of 2 soft Bra tops, which I wear both together for extra support but they are so comfortable. Take it easy ( I'm sure that's easier said than done!!!) Your positive attitude will get you through!

One of my breast is saggier than my other and the other day i thought it may have to do with the fact that im right handed. My right breast gets a good workout al day everyday. My left one doesnt get a workout , not much muscle and all sag. So maybe in a few months ill start liftinh my eight pound weights to give my breat a lift.

So good recovery so far. Pain has been fine to live with the odd burning pain at incision sites & sort of sore bruises pain but have not had to take pain killers every 4 hrs just decide to take them when I notice any pain level increase. Was quite happy at first with my flat little pancakes. Such a relief to not feel the heaviness of the implants & that horrible cold feeling they gave me. Wanted to keep the compression on 24/7 as reading on here that seems to help things tighten up. Been trying not to look and just getting on with things. Have managed to wash my own hair over the bath and just showers below the waist to make sure I dont get things too wet. Had a visit to the nurse a week post op. She just took off the adhesive bandages surgeon had put on. It wasnt sore at all. Says scars are looking great. Did feel a bit exposed then. They look so fragile & I think the bandages were supporting them somewhat so they looked worse than previously. Nurse put adhesive strips over the scars & gave me some to take home. She says its fine to take a shower but just ensure to dry the strips with a dryer on cool/low setting as need to be completely dry to keep infection away. Had my first 'night out' last night with a few friends who know nothing about this. Attempted another lighter sports bra without the front zip but I think attempting this and some over the head tops made me a bit painful so decided to just keep on the zip upcompression bra complete with 'chicken fillets' just in case and opted for a button up blouse. Felt quite comfortable the whole evening. Had my first proper shower today without the compression wrap. My left one appears to be healing very well the one on the right however which surgeon said had the grade 3 CC looks pretty grim. Droopy nipple & the skin surrounding it is very loose with no firmness. Will be sad if this is what I'm left with but have to say still relieved I got it done. I'm me again and though its not pretty when I think back to those artificial things that streched my nipples, well, didnt like them either! Its a wonderful thing to feel warm soft skin there again. Still, really hoping the right improves. Im not convinced about this 'fluff fairy' working for me since I was so flat to begin with :-( due to see the surgeon on 25th. Im not hopeful he will mention any chance of improvement he was clear to point out that I will be 'flabby' & will be 'traumatised' by the results. Thank goodness ive had this site to refer to. Ive ordered some collagen supplements but will wait to speak to surgeon re. Creams/lotion/massage etc. After my shower today I used the hair dryer on the steri strips on low and my boob on the left stayed firm but my right one actually flapped about in the breeze at the nipple pocket area eeuch!!! Not a pretty site at all but bandage/bra on feeling better. Will have to get on with it. I honestly feel this is better to live with than the threat of rupture & further surgeries down the line. Hoping this will help others fingers x I will have better pictures next time. Happy Easter to you all!

I totally agree. Yesterday was day 9 And I put on a sports bra , then put my binder over . What seems to help is holding my boobs against my chest whem getting out of bed or off a seat because it helps it from feeling like It's going to tear .

And yes just stay optimistic about fluffing out. Think of like a cut , how it's dented but as it heals it gets more closer to the surface. Well maybe that's how the breast heal but since the cuts are internal you can't tell they're cut

I think you look great, I hope to look like that 9 days after. I'm sure they will get even better day by day. Just keep reading other peoples journeys, they have amazing results. Referring back to stories, is what keeps me determined to get mine out! Roll on July, by which time, I bet you will look completely different again. Thank you so much for sharing xx

Thank you! Yes its still early days I suppose. To be honest, without this site I would have expected a whole lot worse. Hopefully it will get better I've certainly not been traumatised by looking at it as surgeon said I would be. Maybe the tears will come later still feel relief at just getting them out! X

Oh gosh me too. I'm day 3 or 4 I decided to scrub my feet with pumice stone. Lol that's the equivalent of scrubbing a carpet. I would say don't do it just yet. My shower needs a scrub and next week it'll get one . They are very fragile so be a little easy. But I bet they're happy, they know they're being cared for.
