Feeling Down!
Day 6 post op!
Last couple of days have been the worse in terms of excepting the new look of the explanted boobs. As the pain is fading away and my post op stiffness is slowly disappearing, my emotions are kicking in almost causing a little panic regarding the new shape! My right side looks flat out and stuck to my chest and the left side looks much better in shape and sort of dropped a little which appears more like a normal boob. I couldn't help myself and called Sue Mitchell about my concern! She reassured me and said that they would heal individually. This makes sense as the right side was raptured and surely needed more work done during the surgery. Looks like I'm gna need long time to heal for them to look normal again :(

Recovery..
Day 4 post op!
I'm still wearing the velcro-elasticated support bandage since my op, I feel that it holds me tightly together and gives good support. I was told to wear it for a week then wear a sports bra for another 6 weeks. I'm not taking too many painkillers or any other medication just trying to take it easy and cope with the minor stiffness and pain. I do feel drowsy and weak most of the day thou, my movements are slow motion and walk slowly when I'm up because I feel lightheaded most of the time. I have a post op assessment back at Nuffield's on Thursday and hoping to feel a lot better and drive up there. Then I have another post assessment end of the month with the surgeon.

I can't recommend enough the team at Nuffield's are fantastic, attentive and very professional. I vaguely remember, even under the affect of anaesthetic, I was having my checks by the nurses every so often. As I was lying down just before I was induced to sleep my surgeon came over and reassured me also his private nurse Sue Mitchell came over and gave me a semi hug and reassured me, goes without saying that the rest of the team were amazing.
Just had my drains checked and right side is still producing darker colour and more liquid so I may have to stay another night, which I don't mind as I rather would have it taken out then left inside!
