Fighting Melasma and it’s Working!

I tried this product on the review of a member...
WORTH IT$41
I tried this product on the review of a member here named Adpeart and was convinced to go ahead and buy 15% mandelic acid. I realized I had melasma about 5 years ago and believe it was attributed to adrenal stress. I did have the mask of pregnancy many years ago but it went away. I never took birth control pills because I was aware of the side effects. The second time the melasma appeared, I also had a faint black line above my lip which I removed in 6 weeks religiously with 4% hydroquinone that I ordered from well.ca. I also suffer from rosacea since 2008 so it’s not a pretty combo. I always have to wear some sort of makeup to leave the house. My rosacea has since calmed down with apprilon antibiotic but I stopped taking it. I don’t really get the red bumps associated with rosacea anymore but still keep them on hand.
I just started April 11 2018 using Nucelle’s fair sized bottle of mandelic acid, I also received a few free samples of mandelic face wash, toner, mandelic acid 10%, spf 30+, exfoliant and a clay mask. There was also some literature and studies that were sent in the package on melasma that were very informative.
I followed the other lady Adpeart’s instructions with the review she wrote on her by washing with the mandelic face wash and toner. By the next day I could notice my face was a bit tighter but also that small little white heads were coming to the surface. I only used the 15% mandelic acid at night and also if I was at home not wearing makeup, I would slather it on when I had the chance. To combat the dryness, I have a rich moisturizer called clinicians that I use. It hasn’t even been 3 days but there is a glow to my face that I hadn’t noticed before. I do experience dryness at night when I’m only wearing the mandelic acid but it doesn’t burn too much. I know there are higher strengths available through this company at 30% but it’s best to start a lower strength. The literature I received in my package also mentioned that mandelic acid also helps rosacea.
Day 3, I have noticed a little tiny bit of peeling but it’s too early to notice a difference.
I have taken some pictures without makeup to document this review and will keep updating it week by week also without makeup. I was really excited when I saw the other lady and reviewed this product and most of her melasma disappeared. I am hoping it will work for me as well. I also going to do an 8% tca peel in about 6 weeks from now.

In One Week, Melasma is Starting to Peel
It’s been one week since I’ve been using Nucelle’s 15% mandelic acid and one brown spot on my cheek closer to my eye fell off tonight as I washed my face. The last little piece of dark brown spot was still clinging on so I wiped it away with my finger. It looked like a piece of lint to be honest. Now there is a red spot revealing new skin.
While this isn’t a fun process, I was always told I looked younger for my age but my fine lines are extremely pronounced now and as I use the mandelic acid every night slathering it on heavily, my face is the morning is so tight ht and dry. I look at least 10 years older and I am 41. All the wrinkles under my eyes show up more because that’s the area I’ve been using it carefully and using it more at the top of my cheek where the melasma is.
I feel ugly at times but tonight showed me proof that it’s working. I don’t find it to be stinging or burning. It just really dries out my face. I use Clinians Intense A which is a rich heavy moisturizer from Italy that I bought on Amazon. I use that during the day and it makes the fine lines under my eyes at the top of my cheeks less pronounced.
In other areas of my face such as my forehead, I can also see that it is flaming but not that noticeable. I read on another review here using the same product that it could take up to 3 weeks to really peel.
I am being patient and hoping this will solve my melasma. I will use the 15% and then go up to 25 or 30%.
I have documented my face by taking pictures without any makeup on so you can really see if it works or not. Only time will tell.

I forgot to add these pictures. What a difference a week can make!
I forgot to add these pictures earlier. As you can see on my cheek in this week’s picture, another piece of melasma has turned red and will soon be ready to fall off.
