I wanted a fresh younger look and did not like the droopiness that was happening to my jowls and eyes.
At that time I did a lot of research on surgeons but did not know about Realself yet. I would of liked to
have gone to one of the other surgeons after seeing their results.
I found Dr. Elan Reisen, who has a business at Star Plastic Surgery in Novi, MI. His credentials seemed
impeccable and his father was also a plastic surgeon. Unfortunately, it went horribly wrong, and I
still have the scars to prove it. I like to refer to his business as "Scar Plastic Surgery". Where you buy
one scar, and get the other one for free.

Wow, sorry this happened to you. Did you use another doctor to try and fix the skin?
What happened? I've never seen such brutal looking photos even, in the first few days post surgery.
I just re-read my comment and I also meant to tell you how sorry I am that this happened to you. I hope you heal further or are able to have some sort of reconstruction/scar revision. Good luck to you.
Dude, that is seriously out of line - have some compassion. Her pics prove the necrosis and scarring, and as this is your first post its a bit suspicious.

Well in that case T2020, I'm sure we'd all love to see the before and after photos of the facelift you received from this doctor, and it would allay all suspicions that you work for the doctor's office.

He did this to my Face and I'm the irresponsible one?
He had more than enough time to make this right, and NEVER made any effort.

Oh my gosh, this is terrible - I'm so sorry! I have seen this kind of necrosis happen to smokers but the docs always get people to quit a few weeks prior to surgery.
Thank you, I have never been a smoker, and was in excellent health.
Awful. Horrible. I've never seen anything like this and I've had a few facial surgeries. A lot of people running to becoming PS. It's a cash business and therefor very desirable. Consumers need to be diligent and extremely thorough in their research, especially in these times.
I did many hours of research and consultations.
That's right !!! Because Dr. Reisin is an honorable, fantastic plastic surgeon whom I have has several procedures from!!! And each procedure has brought me increased self awareness and fantastic results!!! I feel Dr. Reisin is the TOP DOCTOR in our area by far!!! He is a brilliant man with incredible credentialing and cares about all of his surgeries and patients!!!

But that is "in our area". I lived within 5 miles of Novi in the 1970s. Very hick. Not the area of our country to have cosmetic surgery done!
