So it's time to start counting down to the big day! 134 days to go! Eeeek!
I have decided to have a breast uplift (mastopexy) with a slight reduction and a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)
which will include repair of my stomach muscles (diastasis recti).
From 2004 to 2010 I sadly lost 7 babies. My breasts got bigger and bigger with each pregnancy and I comfort ate after each loss. My breasts went from a D cup to a G cup and I went from a size 12 (UK) to a size 18 (UK). I am currently a size 16 (UK) with 38FF breasts. I have never been totally happy with breasts; they have always been a little droopy; but due to the increase in size the droop even more. But I have lived with them.
We come to 2012 and I give birth to my wonderful son. He was a big baby weighing 10lb 10oz!!! During the pregnancy I also carried a lot of extra fluid, my tummy was huge! Due to all the extra weight I was carrying during my pregnancy my stomach muscles separated. I had physiotherapy to help rectify it but it didn't really help. I now have an apron of skin that no amount of exercise will shift.
My son is now 3 and I am now ready to fix my body!
To find a reputable surgeon I decided to go on the British Association of Asthestic Plastic Surgeons website. I looked to see who was local to me and found Mr Stephen McCulley. I researched him and his work and looked at his website.
I rang his clinic and booked an appointment which was on the 30th March 2015. This was a huge step as this is something I had thought a lot doing for years. To say I was nervous was an understatement.
However on meeting Mr McCulley I was instantly put at ease. He was very friendly and welcoming and his clinic was lovely, modern and clean.
We discussed my issues and both agree that for my breasts a breast uplift with small reduction is best. The plan is to go from a FF to an DD/E with no implant. With my tummy my muscles will be stitched back together and then a tummy tuck will be performed.
My surgery is now booked for the 18th August 2015!!!
Wish me luck!!!

The reasons why I am doing this!!!
Sarah LouiseApril 7, 2015
So to keep myself from changing my mind I have photographed my body in its current state.
My droopy 38FF breasts in desperate need of a little perkiness!
And THAT belly :-( I can say no more!
Cannot wait to have my muscles repaired and get my waistline back.
My current stats are:-
I'm 5'5'' and I currently weigh 189lbs.
During the next 4 months I am hoping to lose some weight so that I can achieve the best possible results. Nothing too drastic though as I want to be able to maintain it. :-)

Again, quite similar, I am shorter but have a few lbs left to lose. I used to (til last year) maintain between 135-145lbs and 5'2". I am currently 150lbs but hope to be around 140 when I have the op.

I'm sure you'll manage to lose it. I'd like to lose about 10lbs so we can motivate each other!
My problem is that I have no will power! I'm rubbish!
April 10, 2015
Ah bless ya, maybe this will help with the motivation and willpower though? I have lost a pound a week since the start of January, so just a stone now, thorugh serious clean eating and full on exercise (I joined a team PT group) and work out 5 times a week, plus the dog walking, plus the clean eating, so hoping to keep losing a pound per week til the end of June really... xx

Smart to try to get to a weight you can maintain! How do you plan to lose a few pounds?
April 9, 2015
Planning on doing it the old fashioned way! More exercise and eating less! Got a X-trainer at home so will be using that more and then just cutting down portions and eating less of the good stuff!

Very best of luck with your surgery and recovery! I am considering Mr McCulley for a thigh lift so very eager to see your results as I can't find any other reviews online! Take care xx

25 days and counting....!
Sarah LouiseJuly 23, 2015
So today I received my pre-assessment appointment date. [RS bleep] is getting real now!
My hospital has been changed from the Park hospital to the Woodthorpe hospital...not 100% sure of the reasons...I was a little annoyed at first as I'd been given the choice of where I wanted my surgery but at least it's still going ahead as planned. Pre-assessment is on the 5th August, will give me opportunity to ask some questions about what's going to happen.
A little over 3 weeks to go! I've got mixed emotions at the moment. Mostly excited to get it done but I am worried about the recovery period. I am stubborn and impatient and really independent so having to be reliant on someone is going to be tough! Hoping for a super quick recovery!

Oh my goodness, you have been through a lot! So glad you are able to do this for yourself. And you have plenty of time to prepare mentally and physically. Here's a list of pre- and post-op tips for you. Please keep us updated!
I am looking to have my surgery with Mr Micelles too but my GP tells me I have to wait til I stopped breastfeeding :( a few more months won't hurt. Please keep us updated on your recovery and pics. I currently have tt envy whilst I wait for my turn to come around. I'm a mental health nurse so I'm also wondering if 4 weeks will be enough to recover fully to go back to work. Work can at times be physically challenging so worried I may get hurt it I go back too early.
I went back to work after having 3 weeks off. I work in pharmacy in a hospital, so probably not as physical a job as you. It is tiring and you will get a bit sore but I wouldn't say I've been in pain. Everyone heals differently and I have been surprised at how well I feel so soon after surgery, particularly after reading some people blogs saying how much pain they were in and how much they were struggling.
One week after surgery I was off all pain meds and I have had no problems sleeping at all.
I will put up my diary post surgery so it will give you more of an idea of what to expect. :-)
Good luck! And if you have any questions I'm here! x
Was he happy to do both procedures in one go ? I had a free consultation at MYA and they told me 2 separate ops and £13k please
Did you tell work you were doing the op? I don't fancy telling mind to be honest as some how it will get out and I'm sure you know what gossip is like in an hospital environment, everyone will be talking and judging
Also now trying to figure best time to do op as I'm still saving, desperately hoping it's under 10k
Thanks again for taking the time to respond Sarah x
I told my line manager I was having an op and he never asked what it was for. The doctor at the hospital wrote me a sick note for 3 weeks stating post abdominal surgery. The sole reason for me getting it done was to fix my muscles and this is what I have told some colleagues who have asked. I have not mentioned the boobs and so far no one has commented. I think they may have put it down to weight loss!!!
I think if you start talking about cosmetic surgery you may struggle to get sick pay. Everywhere is different though.
Not sure there is a best time to have the op. Try and do it where you don't have any big things planned like a kids party or a holiday for example.
Happy to be of service! Always best to be well prepared for something like this. And if someone has seen the surgeon you want to have it's a good idea to get the inside info!
You won't regret doing it, best decision I ever made. x
