I have never had a nice tummy. When I was younger it was always chubby, even when the rest of me wasn't . Them as I got older and started working out and eating clean, I lost lots of the tummy fat and the wrinkly skin took over. It's so frustrating to work out as hard as I do and have a belly that looks like I'm 85 instead of 45. All of my friends say that it's "not that bad" and I can tell they think I'm being vain, but it's bad to me. I am so looking forward to wearing a bikini and having a tummy I am not ashamed of!!! I am posting a before pic showing how wrinkly my belly looks when I bed over in any way. As you can probably tell, I've already had my breasts augmented. This was also done by the same PS that will do my TT. I had them replaced last year with silicone when one of my original saline implants ruptured from a mammo. Can't wait until I can post another of my new, smooth tummy!!!!

Good morning! I am enjoying reading all of your posts. I can't believe that in less than two weeks I'll be recovering from my surgery. I wish I had found this site before I had my final consultation with my surgeon because I find that I have lots of questions now after reading what you've all been writing. He said that I didn't need any muscle repair but now I'm wondering because when I took before pictures I see a protrusion below my belly button. Also I noticed that a lot of you stay overnight at the hospital and mine is just a one-day surgery. I posted some more before pictures today which show how my belly doesn't really look bad when I'm standing up the but gets all wrinkly if I bend over. I work out so hard and I can't wait until my ab muscles are showing. Does anyone know how long it is before you can start working out again after having the surgery? My surgeon said six weeks is this accurate? Have a great weekend everybody!!!!

Good luck to you! My surgery is in April and I'm in CT as well :)

Welcome! I am in CT as well and am 4 days PO. I am a workout freak too and it really is a full 6 weeks after this surgery. Good Luck!

Hey there! I have a similar story and my tummy looks pretty good like yours when standing upright. I just hate that with all the working out, running, ab work, etc., it is NEVER flat. I hate wearing bathing suits because of it too. I'm scheduled 4/11 for a mini TT. I don't have enough skin for a full, but PS thinks it will be flat with a mini and some lipo. Hope so! I look forward to following your journey since you are going to enter to the flat site before me!

I am at TT minus 4 days!!! Nervous and excited all at once! As I have already shared, I have really been "on the fence" about having this procedure done for many years. What's held me back is thinking "Oh, it's really not the bad" or "I am just being vain", or guilt about spending the money when I could spend it on more "practical" things like my house or my retirement fund. Then....just when I decide to go for it, I get into a 70 mph collision with a deer, totaling my car and racking up some serious hospital bills, the first of which ($2000) just arrived in the mail last week. For anyone wondering, yes I do have health insurance, but it is horrible and I have a HUGE co-insurance. And....gotta love my husband for dropping the medical coverage on our auto policy to save $ ( I did think about murder but thankfully the urge passed). Oh, I also forgot to mention that I am in the process of paying (by myself) for a family cruise for 7 people in July. Well, after a few nights of waking up in the middle of the night in a panic over money, I have decided to go ahead to the TT! I want a flat, tight tummy so bad, and I know based on life experience that there is never going to be a "perfect" time, money or otherwise. My procedure is this Thursday, and I have taken the following week off from work. Hopefully this will be enough. I just bought my first bikini in about 20 years and I can't wait to rock it!!!!!

I feel everything you are saying! Well, I haven't had any run-ins with a deer, but I did have a panic attack a couple of days ago and wow, that was crazy. If it had been during business hours, I would have cancelled q for sure. As of today, I am again excited about getting this done. I'm just over 3 weeks! I have a similar tummy and it looks find standing up and in clothes, nobody would know that I even have the pooch and it drives me crazy. Being in a bathing suit makes me feel so yucky and I think that this will only help me feel more confident. I can't wait to see your results after I think that because you are in such good shape, you are going to look fantastic and rock that bikini!! You're lucky that you're not having to go through the roller coaster of picking out a breast implant size. It's almost stressing me out more than anything! Since you've already been down that road, I'm sure you know what I mean. Are you going to take arnica or bromelian? Any pointers for recovering from BA?

I can't remember what size my implants are, but they're big. I'm a 32D. If I could do it again, I'd go with a C. They don't get in the way or anything, but I do think they make me look "bigger" overall. The recovery after my first set was painful, but nothing like childbirth! I felt like a train ran over my chest for the first 3 days or so, and I couldn't lie flat in bed for like a week. The second time around was so bad because the "pockets" were already there. As for supplements, I hadn't plannedon taking any. In fact, I stopped taking all my usual ones just in case they increase bleeding during surgery. My PS said that wasn't necessary, but I'm a nurse and I worry about EVERYTHING!

Wow...I look exactly like you. I do crossfit and power yoga and I'm only happy with it first thing in the morning! I've been thinking about having a TT for years, but kept thinking that it's not bad. I started wearing a bikini last summer(first time ever in my life) and I looked really good.....just as long as I don't sit down..lol. I think i'm going to go for it after the summer. I don't want to miss out on the summer with my kids. I have 3(3, 7, 9) kids and love taking them to the beach. I can't wait to see your PO pics!!!

Hi Nicole, I tried to wear a bikini once last summer, but unless I was lying flat, I was sooooo self-conscious. I even got one of those bathing suits that looks like a 2 piece from the back and a 1 piece from the front to hide my wrinkles. I say do it now - there will never be a "perfect" time. I will be sure to put up some post-op pics!

T minus 1day!! You must be so excited!! If I could, I would totally do it next week, but I have no vacation time to use because we are taking the kids to our 1st Disney cruise in 4 weeks! Can't wait!! It will happen this year...just have to find some time to take off work:(. I showed my husband your middle picture and he said how long ago did she get it done?? Lol, I said that was the before pic! That's what I look like;). He thinks I'm crazy! Lol

Hi Nichole, You will love the Disney cruise! We did it about 5 years ago and it was awesome! I know what you mean about looking flat and smooth when we're standing straight or lying flat. It's the bending over and god forbid being on all 4's - I'm sure you get my drift but this is a family show :) My PS said he's done people even smaller than me, so that made me feel better. He did tell my husband, though, that all the women in the OR during my procedure said "what is she in here for, she looks fine now". What I keep telling myself is that this to have the belly I have always wanted, and even though something might not be "that bad", there is still room for improvement. Just like someone getting a nose job or anything else, you just want to look better than you do with what you were born with, or to improve after what life events, like childbirth, have done to you. My husband thought I was crazy too, and my mom made a comment about risking the complications of surgery just for the pursuit of beauty. Well, I did it and I don't feel one bit regretful or guilty. Did you post any pics yet? I'd love to see the similarities between my before pic and what you look like :)
