I had been dealing with hyperhidrosis for about 15...

I had been dealing with hyperhidrosis for about 15 years and more or less just wore dark clothes, numerous different antiperspirants, researched different methods and had botox pushed on me(which I never did) until someone told me about a magic anti-sweat pill (glycopyrrolate). After 9 years on this pill it was no longer effective and sweating like a guy and sometimes smelling like one for a young lady, was not an option. I feel like a lot of my anxiety stemmed from being self conscious about my sweating issue. It wasn't until I talked to a friend about it and she told me about MiraDry. Explained that it was safer than any other methods around and that the effects were long term. (botox you have to go back every 4-6 months). Living all the way in Maine there wasn't many options around and you would have to travel out of state for such procedure I researched. South Shore Skin Center had a great rating and when I initially called them and told them I was 2 states away they did my consult over the phone. We scheduled the appointment and the rest was history. Lori and Mary were very polite and energetic and definitely put me at ease by answering any questions that I had and making sure that I was comfortable throughout the procedure. I definitely didn't feel anything other than when we began to numb up the area, but that is to be expected. The ladies even made sure that I had enough ice packs to make the 3 hour trip back home. Overall it took about an hour and a half. It takes several hours for you to feel anything, but the first 3 days I would say that ice is going to be your best friend. NSAIDS are recommended but since I cannot take those extra strength Tylenol worked like a charm. It's more sore than anything. I am 4 days in and haven't had any underarm sweating or odor and even went to the gym to test it out. It is foreign to not wear antiperspirant (because they recommend that you don't the first 5 days after) and still smell shower fresh. I still have some swelling but it's definitely tolerable. But no sweating or odor after 15 years of struggle, is definitely something life changing.
