Years later left with scars

I think my PS was over zealous with my settings. Afterwards I had major swelling and crusting around my nose. I did call her, worried that I might have some complications and texted her pictures but she said that was normal. Well, now I have a small scar bump on the left side of my nose where the scabbing was the worst. Plus I have a little indent there as well, almost like the laser went to deep. Overall I would not necessarily recommend this laser. Maybe at a lower frequency it might have been better for me.

3 weeks out
lindyshellpNovember 3, 2017
It’s been 3 weeks since my laser. I have found out that it was actually the Genisis laser she used. I did the laser to reduce the redness that was left in my cheeks after a reaction to the sculptra injections. Overall I think the redness has been reduced a bit, but it is still there. What it has done is it has completely gotten rid of some small broken capillaries I had around my nose, which is pretty incredible. My skin also looks very smooth as you can see in the photos. I still have a little bit of a Redmark on my right cheek where I had a darker red mark from the laser up near my eye. That is beginning to fade but I imagine it might take a few weeks longer as my skin tends to bruise easily and I’m very fair. Hoping it doesn’t leave any kind of permanent mark. These treatments are supposed to be done in a series of two or three but I would not repeat this experience doing due to the amount of swelling I had afterwards. I can live with the residual redness on my cheeks rather than go through this again. I will try to update again in a few weeks to see how my skin is doing that.

Swelling down more today but still red
lindyshellpOctober 16, 2017
The swelling has gone down quite a bit but I still have areas of redness as you can see. Still moisturizing the Cristy areas around my nose and my blister on my left cheek. Not looking so bad with make up, I had to go out and face the public today! It’s definately a process. Had I known what my reaction would have been, I may not have gone through with this. Hoping it will all turn out for the best.
I have terrible scarring from a CO2 fractional laser on my upper lip and chin. I am 5 months post op and the redness still looks terrible where my skin did not completely grow back. I'm thinking about doing the Vbeam for redness. But I definitely don't want to make a bad situation worse. What we do to ourselves, hey...?
